Bonsoir, j'ai une question.

Can I say it in English, it's easier for me.

Ok, so the accents on vowels depend on the side like ´,`,^

so whats the difference (like open or closed) on the pronounciation with e.g.

É, È and Ê.

Please answer soon, sil vous plait.

Hmmm, it's a hard question actually..
I mean, the answer is hard Mr. Green
You can start checking out this link.
And also this one.
Because it's no easy to explain it in english.
But I'll start by telling you that the difference is so small between "é" and "è" that you probably won't even notice it.
Even us, french people, don't really pay attention. Maybe 'cause we're used to it therefore don't even notice the difference..
But pronouncing "é" like "è" is nothing serious at all.
BUT.. it's not the same when you write.
Never mix them up on the paper (:

[/grandmother's advice]

I'll try to use simple exemples. Like my name.
It has an accent: Cécilia.
When you pronounce "é..", open your mouth like you're smiling Very Happy
And say "Cécilia" keeping your mouth very open. The "é" must sound almost like the 2 "e" in the english word "See".

When you pronounce "è", the sound must be more like a mix of "a" (like the french word "papa" ) and "e" (like the french word "le" ).. Just open your mouth a bit more (like an "a" ) than when you pronounce "é".. Hope you get it.. Mr. Green

For "ê" accents, there's not really a rule..
Like, I don't even remember learning one when I was a kid Very Happy
Though (I just tried to pronunce some words like "forêt" or "Cécilia" finding out a difference, but looked dumber than useful..) I could say that "ê" sounds more like "è" than "é".

I hope I helped. I won't be surprised if it's not the case though Mr. Green

Basically, ''é'' is pronounced /ay/
''è'' is pronounced like the first 'e' in ''better''
and to me, ''ê'' is pronounced the same as ''è''. And I never really learned a rule about when using it either.
