pssh since when is the dictionary not right? Since some dictionary said that rube boys were the same as punks. What rubbish. Dictionaries are sometimes biased as well, no matter how har they try to be. I had to actually read and entire dictionary once for English. You can find a few odd things in them. |

China is not a pro-abortion country. There are provinces and areas who strongly encourage abortion if a second child is expected, but the whole issue of mother's having forced abortions is false. They are often confronted and persuaded to abort, but in the end it is the mother's choice. It's the media's screwed proportions doing their magic again, rather like London underground maps.
The point of the one child policy was not so that every mother could only ever have one child, but to encourage it. That's why child benefits are stripped and taxes increased for parents with two children. For some reason, the West has to veiw this critically and scrutinize every aspect of the Chinese government's quite good plan in my opinion, to make China a better country. There are a few loop holes, but it is hard to control one billion people, and I give them credit for trying.
In 1998, an ex-official of Chinese government who claimed to have participated in some of these actions testified before a United States House subcommittee regarding her participation in forced sterilizations and abortions. A report in 2001 exposed in Guangdong a quota of 20,000 forced abortions was set in the same year(2001) due to reported disregard of the one-child policy. The effort included using portable ultrasound devices to locate abortion candidates. Early reports show that women as far along as 8.5 months pregnant were forced to abort by injection of saline solution into the womb.
Where's your proof that it's all a lie? |

definations of labels/genres whatever are naturally going to change over time, and are debatable in the first place. Do you have any examples of real words that are wrong? |

These are illegal forced abortions, you know. I know a Chinese woman who had two daughters, and when asked if she had any problems, she replied that there were no problems what-so-ever. They point is that China is not a pro-abortion country. The country does not demand every second baby to be killed. |

No, definition of rude boy never changes. It has been and always will be exactly the same. And it's not a label or a genre. And it certainly isn't debateable. There has never been an alternate definition for rude boy, ever. And even if there has been, 'punk' is right out. I have a few. I need to find some. There have been misspelled words in dictionaries before as well, and all of a sudden, they have been accepted as the proper spelling. |

And no she doesn't represent every Chinese woman. Do you represent everyone where you come from? It shows that there are women, according to her, quite a few who actually do have two or even three children without abortions. So if a few women get their children aborted, as I already said, it is a violeation of human rights. Now, I am a personal friend of Kofi Annan's lovely wife, Miss Anne Annan, and I have met Mr. Annan too many times to count, so I assure next time I meet either, I will try and bring it up. Thank you for enlightening me. |

pix or it didn't happen.
Anyway my point still stands pro-choice and pro-abortion have two different meanings. pro-choice means you think the woman should have a choice, and pro-abortion means forced abortion.
you even used the term yourself Anji:China is not a pro-abortion country. |

you even used the term yourself Anji:China is not a pro-abortion country. I said that it is not a pro-abortion country and I stand by it. It isn't. I said later, that that doesn't mean that people don't get abortions at all. It isn't an official pro-abortion country, is what I meant. And I'm sorry if I was being curt or unclear.
And when have pictures been needed to prove anything on this thread. Fine whatever. I need to get it in my library. You really are a Doubting Tomas, aren't you. I suppose you don't believe I know Anne Annan. |
