You haven't spotted where I contradicted myself. I can't. But then I know what I'm saying.

Oh so you know you are making no sense then?
No, all I can assume is that you don't know where you say that I contradict myself.

I am not twisting your words you are just incapable of explaining yourself and if everything you said is true then you need to give me proof, source your statements.
I already did. I said that it isn't a pro-abortion counrty and that you disagreed with me. I already showed that. My statements are from people I know who are Chinese as well as reading journals and newspapers. This is just my general knowledge speaking. I don't feel like writing an essay so I won't go to the bother of posting long pointless posts that nobody reads. That's why I like this better.

on an internet forum you can't just say 'somebody told me', that isn't proof. Your general knowledge isn't proof. You say you read these articles and journals but you don't give links or even say where they are from = no proof.

Just because I don't read everything off the internet doesn't mean I have ne proof. I can't put up any names cause that's just retarded. I read my local newspaper, Bangkok Post, I read The National another paper. I read Nat Geo, I watch the news, I watch tele programs, I read Geo Journals, I read the New York Times when I lived in New York, I read the Ottawa Journal when I lived in Canada. This is just my general knowledge. I'm sorry I don't look over the internet for everything that I research.

I never said that you said that is was an official whatever

Anji:
That's where you implied that China was an official pro-abortion country according to your reason why it was pro-choice, not pro-abortion.

REGARDING WHAT TO CALL IT:
don't call it fucking prochoice

choice mother got #1 fuck the dude
choice the mother got #2 not make him wear a condom
choice mother got #3 not take the pill
choice mother got #4 having sex at the wrong time of the month
choice mother got #5 having sex with a dude who had ripe semen and doesn't know what size condom to wear...so he picks the wrong one
choice baby got regarding her/his life.........psssssh
having sex without thinking of consiquences is so much more important than life

please, call it what it is
it's pro-abortion
it isn't prochoice because...well, the mother had choices, made mistakes, the baby, never made a mistake EVER and it was murdered without an option

it's prochoice because the mother has the choice of having an abortion or keeping it.

if it was called proabortion that would imply that you have to get an abortion.

pro-choice implies that the mother doesn't already have a choice
the baby didn't get a choice

so let's see, who deserves it more?

it does nothing of the sort.

The baby doesn't get a choice in any of this. A baby doesn't get to make any choices in its life for a long while after it is born.

And what about women for whom the condom broke? Are they evil people too? who should be forced to have a baby?

But on the same token, who should be forced to die? Who should have a chance at living ripped away from them because someone was irresponsible?
By now everyone knows that condoms and other protection doesn't always work, and that there is always the risk of getting pregnant. When that risk is known, that's where the "choice" comes in. Whether you have sex, or not.

Would you want to grow up an unwanted child?
Are you saying that people who don't want kids should never have sex?

No. But they should be more responsible if they don't want kids. I'm just saying that everyone is knowledgable these days when it comes to sex. Everyone knows what it entails and what may or may not happen. There is such a thing as adoption. I just don't think that someone should be able to decide to end a life just because they've decided they don't want it, when they already knew that this was a possible outcome of their actions.

So it's repsonsible t put kids up for adoption?

Adoption isn't exactly a great outcome for kids, it's not like they all get adopted. And if abortion was banned worldwide and all those unwanted children were put into orphanages it would be ridiculous.

Also it isn't cheap to put your kids in an orphanage, it isn't cheap to have a kid with all those check ups, tests etc... There's the 9+ months of your life that are messed with for something you don't even want.

In my mind putting a child up for adoption is more responsible than killing it.
I never said abortion should be banned worldwide, because if it was people would just find more dangerous ways of getting rid of what they didn't want.

Well, obviously not on your definition of pro-choice. I am pretty much anti-abortion, except that I know that it won't/can't be banned because people will find other ways to do it. I guess it is kind of confusing, so let me try and explain a bit better.
I don't agree with abortion. i think that when having sex you go in knowing that pregnancy is a possible outcome, and unless there is an extremely good reason for not having the baby, abortion shouldn't happen.
If abortion was banned/illegal, what would happen to those absoultely desperate to abort their baby? They would most likely turn to unsafe ways to berid themselves of the 'burden'. In the end, this puts the person undergoing the unsafe procedure at risk and the ultimately finishes the baby.

Make sense? it's kind of hard to bring across.

A bit off-topic, I always find it ironic when I hear of stories where people who are anti-abortion will do things like try and harm doctors who preform abortions.

So you think that people should be more responsible, and you'd rather people didn't choose to have abortions at all. But you realise that abortions will happen no matter what and you'd prefer that people get them done at a doctors than just throwing themselves down the stairs?

I can totally accept your opinion in that case. There are a few people on here who seem to have very un-realistic views on the world but i can see your not one of them. Smile
