Vegan couple sentenced to life over baby's death

I don't give a damn if anyone says that couple is innocent. Those two people are idiots and are absolutely guilty of malice murder, cruelty, and whatever else charge they imposed on them. Anyone with a brain knows you're not supposed to feed soy milk and apple juice to a new born because their bodies can not digest those kinds of liquids...
I'm all for veganism and vegetarianism, don't get me wrong. But you need to be educated about it. A person can't just cut out certain essential foods and expect to live a healthy life. With education about how to live the lifestyle, it's so much healthier and better for you than what the average person consumes these days.

To be perfectly honest, I do not want to eat fish. My mother said I needed to eat some kind of meat.

Oh well then fair enough. I just know so many people who are all "Eating meat is so wrong. But I couldn't give up my chicken/fish/whatever". So never mind then Mr. Green

I agree with you. Changing to a vegan diet is all well and fine, but they should have breast fed the baby if they didn't want to give it baby formula or store-milk. They can act innocent all they want, but when it comes down to it, they were stupid. Stupid and ignorant, and that led to the poor kid's starvation.

I'm 15. Babies don't like to come near me. and even I know that newborns generally can't take in anything other than milk.

But the baby probably died because of shitty parenting, not through it being vegan...or did it?

I think raising a newborn as vegan is risky, because what baby is going to find it easy to swallow vitamin tablets like adult vegans do? Plus, it would be so easy to fuck up, or make an uneducated choice, like these parents do. And considering vegan diets are so overly-healthy, wouldn't it be really hard for the kid to put on weight?
Hmm.

I eat silkworms, cockroaches, and spiders as snacks if they're in supply in the markets. I'd really like to ask PETA if they could make one of those sicko videos about inhumanely slaughtering insects, cause that would be their most pathetic video to date.

Add some cute butterflies and someone will end up in tears and sending them money. File

Anyways, I like insects-except wasps.. They will inherit the Earth. Cockroaches will anyway.

I think that those two vegans must be die-hard PETA followers. Maybe they thought that human milk was a product of an animal?

I was discussing this with someone yesterday. xD

We were just wondering whether vegans do breastfeed their children, because humans are animals, and breast milk is an animal product. Ooh, paradox.

High five for being "someone"

But we are technically animals. So yeah. SOLVE THAT, VEGAN FREAKS.

Ha. My personal belief, and I didn't bother reading all 31 pages on veganism/vegitarianism, is....animals were created for us TO eat....until we developed the technology to avoid eating them. Now we have soy products. There was a day when fur was necessary...along with eating meat. That was all people could come by. I am a vegitarian because of how the animals are handled. Animals CAN FEEL. Ever heard a dog yelp? Yeah, that's PAIN right there. It hurts like hell and sometimes when they skin them, they are still living.

On the breast feeding thing...I think that would be okay, being that there is this special nutrient or somthing from the mom that children need with in two days of the baby being born, there is NO WAY to suppliment for this nutrition think...idk. My neighbor was talking about it

Well, yes there obviously is a way to suppliment that nutrition because not every woman can breast feed and not every woman who can do so chooses to. Now, it might not be a vegan choice or whatever, but it isn't like you absolutely have to breast feed or your kid will die.

kill other animals to feed ourselves...it's a need we inherit from our far ancestors, that once hunted animals of any sort to survive,by eating their meat and using their leather and bones to make tents in order to survive.
now too many people think that meat is fulfilled with grease and other components that might be harmful to our health and begins to eat only fruits and vegetables...
it's okay that there are LOTS of animals whose meat is not for human consumming, like pig meat....but there are ones that aren't so "dangerous",as the mentioned white meat of chicken, fish and seafood.
however we're also killing animals to do so.but they're not dissapearing, unlike many rare species...

well,that's what i think.

But that isn't the issue at hand. The problem occurs when animals are mistreated and abused by meat processing companies. You can not compare modern meat processing practices to that of which our ancestors did. It just doesn't work.

I'm a vegetarian and I began 3 and a bit weeks ago. My friend kept edging it onto me and I already thought that it was cruel to kill animals for our own needs. I know, I know, meat is good for us. It's good protein for us and helps our bodies, but going vegetarian is like something new to do with my life. And also the fact that I love animals and I hate to hurt them.

it's nothing wrong with beeing a vegeterian, but you have to eat the right things to get protein like beans, my dad's a vegeterian so we don't eat meat at home, and i'm thinking about beein a vegeterian myself

im a vegetarian and i love it. i mean yea i have parants who think that the animals that supply them with meat were only put on earth to be eaten, but thats because they're stupid.
at first they were like, "NO! your can't become a vegetarian. you won't get enough proteinsa nd iron."
and i said "you can get protein and iron for fuits and veggies wiithout the fat"
they hate me being right
but im just glad they accepted the truth.

I grew up vegetarian, but decided to start eating fish a couple years ago after a lot of thought, curiosity and total rebellion. I really liked it, and felt good about eating it. (although, i did try a hamburger at a friend's barbecue, and that didn't last long)

Personally, it kills me when people get up on their high horse and call people that eat meat 'muderers', or the less hardcore, 'stupid'. Or play the 'holier-than-thou' card.

In my own mind I think people who stop eating meat because its cruel to animals.
Well they arn't saving any animals at all really.
Same with planes.
'Don't fly planes it killsm polar bears!'
well you arn't going to stop the plane from flying are you?
And if your a vegitarian then your not going to save any animals in your act to 'stop' slaughter to animals if you just stop eating meat.
