All-Black Schools

There are these new ideas that epople are getting that Blacks should get their own schools. Some Blacks agree some don't. What are your opinions?

BTW. If I used any offensive terms, just let me know not to say tham again, cause I get very self-concious of what I say when talking about racisism.

i think its ridiculous, its racist and its thoughtless. black people have gone thru too much over the past couple years and i think its really inconsiderate to do. i hate the fact that all races are discriminated over, espcially mexicans and blacks and it hurts, even when its not my race..

hawthorn is a city where many balck ppl live and they have like their own little community and seperate school...i think its racist and there's too much segregation in this world....it still exsists even after "martin luther king" made his famous speech about u know what.

singling people out will inly make racism worse. there is all of maybe 10 or 15 black students in my school, out of almost 1000

It's ridiculous! What is the point. Black and white school pupils should be taught together, otherwise people are going to become less understanding of eachother and there will be a big divide.

ummmm... I think the idea of All-black school is stupid things, it 's just kind of deepen the chasm between Whites and Blacks

i'm not black but my mom's from the medittaranian (sp?) and my dad's from norway. i'm norwiegen but i'm not dead white. it looks like i've been on summer vacatrion.. hehe. so i say i'm mixed or a bastard (true in many cases and if somebody says something racist i get really mad casue it's not like white people are better.

and i know there are many black kids who get bullied but if they make black schools those kids can take it really personally like "what? they don't want us with white kids?" so i don't think thats right.

even ppl said setting up All-black schools are aim at protecting the black kids from bullied by the white kids, but what about when they grow up, isn't that they need to work in all-black workplaces??that's impossible! So, the all-black school things are really stupid and ridiculous!!

there are all women schools and all men schools because we learn very differently
different races learn differently too, and in all black schools they can learn more about Africa, since most schools now (in the U.S.) only talk about Europe

If blacks want to go to an all black school, let them. But they shouldn't be forbidden from going to a 'regular' school

people like martin luther king fought for years against racism and segregation, and here we are, in a world where racism is a crime, re-introducing segregation.

Though i understand this thread is a specific idea, all reply's have been about racism in general, there is a racism thread one page back, please discuss there.
