I am aware of the health risks, I know I'm not allowed to smoke in certain areas and I'm not offended by that.
People who seriously want to blame others for their own choices are ignorant, and thank God their smoking, because the stupid shouldn't reproduce  |

| February 19th, 2010 at 08:19pm Well, I'm strongly against smoking. I have to leave the room anytime anyone wants to smoke because I start choking. Plus, they are really nasty. But during hurricane Ike I was stuck in a house with 7 smokers, with no air flow because the power was out. As seeing as there were also 3 babies and 2 teenagers aged 14 and 16. I had to go outside and sit outside in the pouring rain, it wasn't raining on me since we have like, a hige as porch thing. But the wind was blowing hard enough to blow the rain towards me...
But I'd rather be a little wet than suffocate.
Just saying, when you smoke, you're not only affecting yourself, you're affecting others. |

My grandad died of lung cancer from smoking and my dad's always coughing and ill and he still smokes. I don't tell him I dissaprove of it just because I don't like it because I know it's their own choice and I can't do anything about it. I just dont like the younger kids who smoke because they think it makes them look cool and brave, that's what I think needs sorting out. |

| March 17th, 2010 at 12:06am Both of my parents smoked but now they're not smoking any more and I think I knew how bad smoking was for me and my parents quitting just made it that much easier. My brother smokes and most of my family smokes. It gets annoying because I'm around smokers when I go to a relative's house and the smoke makes me break out. Never had a drag of a cigarette and I'm proud of it. |

It just dissgusts me to much.
Plus, to see what it does to your body,
I couldn't bring myself to.

Posts: 8405 | May 20th, 2010 at 05:27pm Never thought I would, but I was out with a friend and she was smoking these Black & Milds and they smelled AMAZING....and this was just after I turned eighteen and she was taking me out to like go to a porn shop and do all this now-you're-18 stuff....so we went to a gas station, I bought a couple of the B&Ms, and they're bloody fantastic. When those were gone I took a couple of my parents' cigarettes, and now I have another pack.
Thing is, I'm not addicted...I just enjoy smoking. Sounds a little weird, but it really isn't. |

I only tend to smoke when I'm out at a party, and even then it's not that often, it's because I run a lot and I really don't want to fuck up my lungs. |

I just know too many people who began as just "social smokers" or they "only smoked when they drank" and eventually it just slowly works itself into your everyday life and becomes a habit.

Like Desmond Hume said in the above post, as well as the obvious health risks, it slowly takes over and becomes more than just a phase. Once you start it isn't easy to stop, phases with things like alcohol and cigarettes hardly ever stay 'phases.' One becomes dependent on them and it's difficult to get away from that. The dependency is often just as bad as the health problems they can cause. |

But I want to smoke :S When I was about your age I smoked for about 6 months. Then I started another school and the people I hung out with didn't smoke, plus the prices went up, and since I wasn't ever addicted, I just stopped.. Well, I smoked at a few parties, because it's habit and people were offering..
But anyway, you can try it and stuff, but you might be one of those people who get addicted to it very easily and then you have a problem for a long time to come.. So maybe get it out of your system, but be sure not to go overboard, if you can.
If you're afraid or concerned that you might get addicted, I would say you shouldn't even try it, because to be honest, it just hurts your throat the first few times you try it, and after that, you're most likely to ruin your lungs and become addicted. |
