I personally have written to my MP and lodged my disgust at this because i feel that children are not toys for people to hand around at every whime and we should look after them and protect them.

Now we have to keep a handfull of these perantless children for the homosexual people. NOT RIGHT!!!!!!!

Even though my Religon says that being homosexual is "detestable" (I think that hows it described), I have nothing against gays.

I have several problems with that statement:

What's wrong with being emotional?

How can you make such shallow generalizations like that about all homosexuals? You really think some 30 year old Lesbians who have wanted nothing more than to care for a child of their own will do that?

Do you know how many unwanted orphans we have in this country? We are not 'Keeping back' children for them. Unwanted little babies are crying out for homes. Would you leave them in a childrens home?

my brother inlaw cannot adopt because he was told that because of his religion it was wrong, so why should homosexuals be able to surely they're way of life is wrong? And my brotyher in law would love and care for a child and look after them and give them all the love they needed.

you have a fucking problem. Gay people(I myself happen to be bisexual) are no different from normal people. "Surely their way of life is wrong" is about the stupidest and shallowest thing ive heard anyone say here. Homophobes are just like racists, they hate people for what theyre born as. Do you think gays would care for children any less than anyone else? And its not like we dont have enough orphans for everyone to take one into their home. We have too many.

i have a friend thats gay, and hes soooo cool! hes funny and smart! i hate when people pick on him because of it. love is love, no matter who you are, or if you're gay or strait, boy or girl. it doesnt matter, as long as you're in love.

Why do people have a problem with gay people adopting children? What makes you think that it would be a bad thing? Because you think they'll get teased? Big deal! We all get teased for something as children and if anything, having homosexual parents will teach the child to be tolerant and respectful to people. They wouldn't turn out like those of you who treat gay people shit and refer to them as "disgusting," like their less than human. THAT is what I find to be disgusting.

Yeah, but then if a kid is raised with both a mother and a father, they'll still get teased for something else. And I know it's not right that they have to go through that bullying, but it's also not right that the children that are doing the bullying are tormenting them because of their parent's sexual orientation.

But i don't believe children to be ignorant, children are the most accepting creation in the universe, they have the power to see through a lie, and not discriminate. But they will pick on a child not because his parents are gay but because that makes the child different.

Children have a built in need to be accepted, if the reason they can't be accepted is their parents then that can lead to splits at home. Plus it's the teenage years that really bother me, i would die of embarressment if my father had to explain periods to me.

Maybe though, if this is introduced now, in a couple of generations the whole homophobia thing will be..gone.

It has to start some time. A couple of generations from now most people will think "Wow, those folks in the past were crazy not letting same-sex couples get married and adopt", but there will still be idiots who will scream that being gay is wrong

i completely agree with that, homophobia is this generations segregation.

You may have a point. Later from now our grandkids will know that it wasn't a big deal and that they'll feel sympathy like how we did when segragation ended between colors. Also, just to let you know..I'm bi-curious, and I fucking love it!

...The Church does not believe all homosexuals will go to hell, end of story.

Homosexuals who engage in sexual activity with the same sex are comitting a sin.

Bisexuals who engage in sexual activity with the same sex are comitting a sin.

Homosexual or Bisexual orientation is not a sin. The Church accepts this.
