I disagree, I think you CAN change your sexuality, with enough willpower
No. It's a biological condition.

PROVE it
She's right. I've tried liking guys before, It just doesn't feel right. Therefor I can't change it.
And everyone else is the same. You can't change it.

IS everyone else the same? Do you KNOW everyone else? Maybe YOU can't change it...but I don't think that you can prove beyond reasonable doubt that NOBODY can
Biological FOOL.

First, that's not even a sentence
Second, don't EVER insult my intelligence for having a different opinion
Third, you still haven't PROVEN that it is a biological condition.

I think it's more psychological, and one which is possible to change

The random CAPS are ANNOYING.
You could be right though.
Can you change your sexuality personally?
Say if you're straight, Can you turn homosexual?
Just change all your feelings for a sex to another?
That'd be cool if someone could prove they can change their sexuality.

Exactly my point. It may be unlikely, and require enormous mind strength...but I have no doubts that it can be done
And I am SICK of the grammar police attacking me every time I visit here...so please back OFF

I think you're both right, to a certain extent.

My theory is; (Intended to be taken with a grain of salt, I am no scientist), you are born with a specific sexuality imbedded in you. Lets face it, being Gay is completely natural. So there's the Biological part. But, other factors do come into play; like environmental factors, outside influence (media?), you know the rest. Perhaps sexuality can be changed. Look at what happened in the not too distant past. Gays were beaten, abused, hunted down, even killed. I'm sure that what was happening at the time had a huge influence on their sexuality.

What do I think of gays? There is nothing wrong with it. I believe myself to be bisexual having almost made out with some of my girly friends. I have a few mates who are homosexual and they're lovely lovely people. Although one of them has tried to kill himself due to fucking homophobes making his life hell. Never admit you're a homophobe in front of me cos I'll kill you. And I mean it.

I just want to you to know almost kissing is not you bisexual.
Nor is one real kiss with the same sex.
To be bisexual you must date/have sexual contact with them repeatedly you know. Cool
I hate having to explain this but it has to be said.

Damn kids and thinking they're bisexual when they are straighter than straight can be.

What is this desperation for EVERYONE on this board to be bisexual? Because the band are? ARE they? Because it draws some attention? Because it's COOL?????

There's nothing wrong with it...but there's nothing particularly great about it either. I for one am 100% STRAIGHT, and damn proud of it...wouldn't pretend to be anything else for ANY stupid trend.

That's why I try to correct them.
It offends me that people claim bisexual without experience.
I'm sure it offends real bisexuals aswell.
Alot of it is for attention and copy-ness of Billie Joe of course.
It can also be the latest trend. Sexuality is in man. w0rd.

I completly disagree.
You don't need experience to know if you're straight. I don't even think you need experience to be fully gay. I think you know if you're truely bisexual.
If you're just following the trend then obviously you're just lying, but I think true bisexuals don't need experiences.

I've kissed one girl in my lifetime, was the other week, and it made me realise that I am almost certainly straight. And damn fucking proud of it Cool

OMG I'm such a homophobe!

...Wow, you're almost as good at patronization as I am.

I have to side with Alex here, for I believe you are mistaken. I have never had sexual contact with either sex, being that I am below the legal age. However, I believe myself to be straight. You have no qualm with that, I presume?

What now, would you do, should I tell you I believed myself to be Bisexual/Homosexual?. You would, of course, shoot me down. Why is it okay to be Straight and not have had sexual interaction, but to be Bi/Homosexual, you must have had some form of contact?.

I don't like it. Rather like it is only people who are afraid of being called a 'teenie' who actually brand people in that way, I am beginning to think only people who are afraid of their own sexualities like to belittle others'.

Well then you don't have a for sure sexuality. Is what I think.
You don't know the sexual experience of either. So no sexuality.
It's also about dating, If you date around with guys you are straight.

(Some homosexual people might have sex with the other sex, But it doesn't change anything.
Because being lesbian, You feel more closer to girls aswell as sexually closer. Etc.
There is facts though of lesbians having sex with males. o_o)

A person can't just say in my eyes "Hey, I'm bisexual" without sexual interaction.
I understand they might have feelings for the same sex.
And might actually love one, But if you fall in love with the same sex that does not make you bisexual.
Many people have fell in love with the same sex, It has nothing to do with sexuality.

I've talked to many "fake" bisexuals and they've actually said "ew" on the case of having sexual contact with the same sex.
And that is not bisexual at all. You can't ew when it comes to the same sex if you're really bisexual.

So that is my point. Unless you've actually had sex with the same sex, I don't think you should give yourself the bisexual label.
Nor the straight factor, Unless you've had dated/had sex. There is no sexuality there.

Point is sexuality = Dating and sexual contact with the sex you claim to like. Unless otherwise said.
Don't claim different. Because you don't know yet.

And no I'm not afraid of my sexuality. xD

I hope this came out right.

That is fair enough, I suppose. But the fact is, I'm fourteen, and I can't legally have sex yet. But I do have 'feelings; for once specific sex...Which Is why I tend to lean towards calling myself a particular sexulaity, as having relations with a person of the same sex does not have a hugely high appeal. It still does appeal to me, strangely, but I think that's down to adolescence or something.

So basically, I'm Asexual until proven otherwise?

Also, Your post did 'come out right to me', It made a lot of sense.

Yes.
Feelings are about sexuality but without the sex part we shoulden't label just yet.
Asexual? = "Having no evident sex or sex organs; sexless." yes, you're sexless. Cool
Thanks. I hope it made a big enough point. x_x
