The church has been back tracking on the "homosexuality is wrong" thing of late. Appearently the only reason they considered it a sin was because they thought people were doing it out of choice, but now quite a few of church leaders are starting to except that people don't choose to be gay/bi and that they are born that way, and if people are born that way then its natural and if its natural then that cancels out the main reason they were against it in the first place.

Well, I wish my ex-church would catch up.
I wore a rainbow button to Youth Group and one of the deacon's sons told me in detail what he would do to a "faggot" after he tied him to a chair and beat the shit out of him with a baseball bat.
We had to draft bills in my American Government class and mine was on legalizing same-sex marriage.
It got one vote to pass.

I dont see stopping the use of the word by not using it as ignoring it, and if you make it comical i think that can come off as if your making fun of those people. gay DOES NOT mean stupid/dumb/not liking something those kids are using it incorrectly and should be punished but thats harsh... 10 days i cant imagine if that was a rule at my school we'd have 2000 kids suspened.
