He took me to see them a lot when I was a kid because we
live in the bay area so it wasent hard to not to see them playing and what not
and he's always liked them. Then I suppose growing up with them played in
the car I suppose it was "fate" xP. |

| March 9th, 2007 at 12:25am I had a crush on this guy and he had this band called employee of the month and I thought they were great, but I couldn't recognize any of their songs so I thought I would give rock a chance and it so happened the first thing I heard was Green Day. At first, I was all like "Dude! I wanted to hear Blink 182! That's his favorite band!" Then, my friend and I were listening to Boulevard of Broken Dreams and she liked it and I was all like "I've heard this before! It's pretty good!" And then she got American Idiot over the summer and we would listen to it together then I got it in August 2005 and became so obsessed with it, she began to hate it. Now, I own all the GD cds exept for Kerplunk! and Shenanigans. Also, i have the Jesus of Suburbia & American Idiot EPs and a rare (so my bro says) "Basket Case" promo. |

It was on a lot more often than Holiday was, and I found myself watching MTV 24/7 to see if the Holiday video would come on again, cause I didn't catch the name of it (stupid me) and when it did, I bought it on iTunes. But it wasn't until early 2006 that I bought Bullet In A Bible and American Idiot. Then I got International Superhits. I listened to Basket Case and thought the riff sounded really familiar (and I still don't know why...) then during the year I got Dookie, Kerplunk!, Nimrod, Warning, and 1,039/SOSH, Shenanigans and Insomniac at the same time (3 CDs for a tenner. lol) I have no idea why I said all of that in such detail, but hey. |

the love at first sight bit came later.
and i missed the name of the song, so started singing it to my friends.
who told me it was green day.
and i got lots of their albums.
