Effy Addict Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 13565	July 12th, 2006 at 12:54pm I hardly listened to music back then, and what I did listen was britney spears and avril lavigne (yes, keep your comments to yourself please, I feel the shame). the fact they influanced a lot of bands wouldnt really matter cuz you wouldnt be thinkin: wouw this band would be a lot better if they had Green Day influance I am very happy they didnt split. thanks to Green Day theres GSB, and because of GSB there are now a lot of cool bands in my playlist

Green Day taught me to be myself...not what others think. So yeah. Oh and they got me into bands like the Ramones, the Clash, Overation Ivy, Rancid, etc. They were the stepping stone for me into the punk world.
