Bush Hate, Inspired By Green Day?

I didn't see a thread like this in this section, and I think the Green Day section is appropriate.
When Green Day released American Idiot, many people thought they hated Bush.
Then, it seemed out of nowhere, Bush had some new people who hated him.
Just after American Idiot was released.
It came to me: "Do some people hate Bush just because a favorite band does too?"
For me, I don't hate Bush because Green Day did, but rather because they opened my eyes to find out the stupid things he's done.
For instance, he declared that Iraq held weapons of mass destruction. We've been searching for over 3 years, and we've found nothing.
He put America in billions of dollars of debt.
My question is do you think people say they hate Bush or hate something because a band or person they like hates that person/thing?
Are people and kids REALLY that influenced by the media?

and I've hated bush before green day. way before green day. I watched the news and listened to my parents talk about him. he's stupid. everything he does seems incorrect

I really don't care about Bush. I'm indifferent to his existence and to everything he does.

I mean, people who listen to Green Day now, are mostly 13.
Whether they agree or not with Bush, whether they understand Politics or not, whether they're mature or not: they're just 13. And you can't expect a 13 years old kid to have real and solid opinions about that..

If they don't have solid opinions they shouldn't be saying "OMG BUSH SUX"

It's idiotic if someone hates bush because of Green Day. They're not political. Anyone can say, "War is bad. Bush is bad. Fuck America."
Their political message [if you can even call it one] isn't telling a lot, or saying why they're hating them. So, we've now got 9 year olds hating bush, because Green Day does. They have no idea what he's done, and what he hasn't done.
The reason I hate Bush [I am aware I am not American, but I still hate the man] is because I have learned about him on my own. I've watched CNN and seen the things he's done. I think if they decide they're gonna hate someone, they should at least do some research. I feel very strongly against the war in Iraq and the stupid reasons backing it *cough* OIL! *cough*, so I have a reason to hate Bush. I don't make political decisions on what's trendy though.
