we'll make it through another green day albumless year. |

Posts: 2410 | March 8th, 2007 at 10:10am I've heard that it was going to come out really late this year. But in an interview with Kerrang [[Dec 2006]] Billie Joe said that it will be out in 2008. So I think it will be expected out around the spring/early summer.
Cause they toured for American Idiot up until Jan 2006, which ended in Australia. Then they took a well deserved break. And I also heard that Billie had writers block. But they've also since done that collab with U2. =)
So I think all us Green Day fans will expect an amazing new Green Day album by this time hopefully next year.  |

According to Green Day Authority, a popular Green Day fan site, the band will be hitting the studio in January to begin work on their next album:
"We got an update this week from Green Day's manager about what the band is up to now. He let us know that Green Day will be going back to the studio in January, and that we should look forward to a new greenday.com and perhaps some new photos around that time.
"He mentioned that the band was going to begin stepping away from all American Idiot themes, and that the new site wasn't going to be themed around the new album. I asked about the progress of the new album, and it didn't sound like we should expect anything too soon. Lets hope we'll get a full update about what kind of stuff they're working on early next year."
Sounds like it won't be out for a good while then... |

They are definitely going in January.
