Okay. I'm really confused. Is East Jesus Nowhere going to be a single? Coz on Kerrang radio they play 15 seconds of new releases and East Jesus Nowhere was on it. What happened to 21st Century Breakdown?

I'm confused too. Green Day posted a video for EJW on their Myspace today.
It was live, but like the music wasn't. Does that make sense? :/

Yes,
it would have be recorded live then remastered in a studio,
some other bands have done it.

Didn't they release another live video a little while ago?

I don't think they're releasing it as a single- yet, anyway. I think they're just pimping it out, lmao.
I kind of feel like they're gearing us up for another live DVD. >.<

Maybe they are. Very Happy

It's sums kind of soon to do that though. The other one only came out 4 years ago.

Yeah but it may not be coming out for awhile, they might just be throwing things out there.
But I don't know, maybe it'll be like, footage from all their stops on this tour instead of it one place.
Or maybe there won't be a live DVD and I'm just hoping

Didn't they release part of American Eulogy as a video? It was similar to EJN, wasn't it? Maybe they'll pile it all together in the end and it'll be like BIAB. Also, at the Fox Theater showing the camera people were going around with wavers asking people to sign for it to be okay for them to be on camera, or so I read.

I'm very more confused. I was watching Kerrang today and it said 'New Green Day Video every hour' so I watched it and the East Jesus Nowhere video that was posted on greenday.com came on. As awesome as it is I was confused.

EJN is the next single for the UK and possibly Europe, 21cb is the next single for the US.

Bands often do that in order to cater for two different markets.

Muse's first single from Black Holes and Revelations was Supermassive Black Hole here but Knights of Cydonia in America.

from what we were told its down to what the radio stations want in each country.

at least we arent going to get the usual bitchfest about one song not being released at exactly the same time all over the world.

I think its more that a lot of people in the bible belt will want to crucify them if they release EJN as a single. 21CB is more of a song that'll cater for that audience.

I got it wrong actually. its EJN for the US and UK and 21CB for the rest of the world. although the EJN video is popping up all over the place. its down to what the radio stations say will play well I think. nothing to do with what the actual song is about.

It has everything to what the actual song is about.

At the beggining of East Jesus Nowhere, once the music starts you can hear him whisper something, but does anyone know what is he saying?
