I've known that to happen with teenage boys at this age, one week they won't even acknowledge you, the next they're pleased as punch to see you. And also, given the shitty tie he's had recently, he's entitled to sulk. But bang his head against the wall if it goes on for too long. Boot his bedroom door down and run at him with a bucket of water. ICE COLD NOWHERE TO GO. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH. AND whoever made up the phrase pleased as punch needs to be shot immediately, or ressurrected and then shot imediately. The only thing it's got going for it is alliteration...I mean jeeeeeesus.
