New Yorkers can be snobby but I'm sure you'll ahve a blast. Go to Times Square, Central Park or Battery Park if you get the chance. SoHo is cool and China town has good food but it's so fucking crowded it makes me feel claustrophobic

Argh, was reading the NY guide book today (it was written just for brits, and has brit tips throughout - it's WICKED) and apparently, you have to tip people for every single fucking thing they do! You tip a bartender for pouring you a round of drinks, I mean, wtf? You already pay enough (at least over here) for drinks, but they want EXTRA money for doing a job they're paid to do?

Fucking can't be polite for free, can they? And you're spose to tip cab drivers when they're (by the sounds of it) rude and insufferable dickheads. Why should you tip that? Over here, I've had cabs where the driver gets out and opens the door for you but doesn't expect to have money stuffed into his hand for it. ARGH.

That was the same as it was in Poland. You'd hand them the money and then if you wanted to change you had to leave your hand there thursted under ther nose.

Damn them.

I wanna get some blue tights before I go out there..cos I'm taking my orange dress. BAAAAAH that means I've got to go into scum city. You can't actually move for the Police Appeal signs. The other day I saw about five, one for serious assault, one for murder, one for arson, one for robbery and one for fatal assault I think.

I got quite excited when I saw the arson one actually, I've never seen one before, and even better, it was next to the burnt remnants of a factory. Was quite an adventure, haha.

2 minute walk from my house. Me and my friend were coming back from town and we saw all the tv crews there, got in and my dad had it on the news.

People are impressed when you tell them where you're from, cos they know if they mess with you, it's likely they'll get shanked up by your crew. (Y)
