Well I'm definitely gonna hang around outside the stage door with my bit of paper, pen and digital camera. Definitely definitely definitely.

And I quite like Shakespeare. It annoys me when people say he's rubbish and he's not special, because they OBVIOUSLY haven't seen the Shakespeare Code. But I mean, apart from that, he wrote whole plays and they rhymed. He took the piss out of other poets with Sonnet 130 which is probably my favourite poem ever, and he was so gifted. Nobody else's work has survived the test of time like his has, so for some snotty little teenager to go 'oh he's rubbish' is just completely ridiculous.

it's fine if you don't like him, but even those who don't like him with valid reasoning tend to still appreciate that he was really rather good.

Actually, I like reading Shakespeare when you're going through it with a teacher, cos you can understand it so much better if you've got someone helping you with it, even if they just give you a shove in the right direction.

I'm doing alright so far. I have a page, but it's a good(ish) page. Ed helped me. As far as I can work out though the answer was it wasn't... but hell if I get it wrong the teacher will help me.

And FP I agree he was a good writer. I just don't like him because I struggle with reading bulk standard English let alone ye olde Englishy stuff. They're good stories when someone explains them to me in normal words, but in his words it goes right over my head.

Umm, Taz was hesitant at first because he didn't like splitting his time with Barley, but he's gotten better now. Barley has also taken to sleeping with us (because I'm a softy) and Taz is such a freakin' bed hog that Eli usually ends up shoving him off the bed because he snores and kicks and stuff, haha.

But the house is crazy in general because we have Led and Zeppelin--which are Eli's dogs and he had them before we met--and now we have these two. No more room for animals.

Btw, I really like Foo's new song The Pretender. It's probably been out for awhile but I just started listening to it last week and I really like it You think their new CD will be any good? Stupid question, right!

Aw Led and Zepplin. That's so cute. I would get so confused and would just start randomly sayng Led Zepplin instead. What type of dogs are Led and Zepplin? That is so cute about Taz being a bed hog. Bogie didn't even know how to get up the stairs himself

The new CD leaked last week and I downloaded it. I tried to not listen to it but it just got really hard sicne the Foo postboard was talking about it and there was all this excitement about random shows that have been occuring and the trickle of new tour dates. I just gave in and finally listened to it.

The Pretender is good. It took me a while to get used to it.

I was just explaining to somone on the FOo thread about the new album, I'll just copy and paste what I said to her:
It's different. The band has improved so much with their songwriting and the songs are beautiful. It depends what you're into. There's one song, the Let It Die song.. I fucking love. It's probably in my top 10 Foo songs now. But it just depends on what you like. it's very mellow, a lot mellower that people were hoping for. There are 3 full electric songs but they're the weakest of the album and you can tell the band focused on the acoustic stuff and the melodies. Dave's songwriting is gorgeous in the album.

But yeah. So far there have been mixed reviews on the Foo board. Its definitely a grower. You need to listen to it more than once to really like it. I think people were just disappointed it wasn't like another TCATS (The Colour and the Shape) since they were expecting it with Gil Norton producing the Foo album again.

My immediate thought upon hearing The Pretender was how much more mature they sound. I'm not a huge follower of Foo, but I certainly like them. Eli will buy the CD next week and I'm excited to hear some other stuff on it. Speaking of new stuff, I'm really needing a Green Day fix right about now. I'm no longer above thinking that maybe the guys are taking a permanent break

I think somoene from the BJ thread said Green Day recorded some Demos. I haven't been on the thread much. I'll pop in and if anyone good is on I'll talk but if not, I'll just leave.

The Foo definitely have matured. I'm gonna go after school or practice dependingon whether or not I have soccer, and I'm gonna ask people who live around my school for a CD store nearby. Definitely wanna get my hands on the hard copy. I'm sorta disappointed now that I listened to the leaked version. It won't be as new and exciting anymore when I open it.
