We got a couple of booklets of Subway vouchers at college today, and there's about ten of us going down to subway tomorrow lunch time because two of them need to be used up by next monday, so we're getting down there asap.
It's wonderful.
And I had an argument with a librarian person who was doing a workshop that we had to go to today. Basically, she's a mug and can't handle people having collected all the information they've been told to and spending the left over minutes playing some solitaire.
And she called me 'young lady' which is just AWFUL. |

Except my little brother has flu! It's been really hard to deal with, because obviously he can't go to school because he's too ill, my mum's just got a new job and she can't take time off and me and Rob have got college. So at the weekend I had to take him down to the uni open day with me and Ed and just carry him round with me trying to get him to sleep through as much of it as possible by playing Harry Potter on my ipod while we went round. Monday he was at Ed's house and between me and my friends there was always someone there with him depending on who had frees. Today I managed to get Mrs Riley to look after him and I came home early because I had frees. It's so hard!
But other than that life is good, I just hate it when he' s poorly, he's all sad and tired.
College is so hard this year, I've gone to all my classes and I'm still finding it tough, Ed's helping me with History, and my Geog teachers giving me these extra classes, but Psychology is really hard.
But even with all that moaning I still maintain I'm good.
How is Lozzlepop? |

Age: 35 Gender: Female Posts: 17669 | September 24th, 2007 at 10:06pm Awww! Poor Tom!!!
it's nice to hear all your friends have helped you out, that's dead sweet.
Lozzlepop's fine. Today I had Sound Production, and for an hour and a half of it we were supposed to go out and record sounds that we can put into our horror soundscape and we were given an hour and a half to do that. We spent just over an hour chatting and then half an hour recording some random sounds and it's was just brilliant. And we had two half hour breaks on top of that, plus an hour for lunch, so we had about 3 1/2 hours of doing absolutely nothing.
I love this college malarkey.
I worked yesterday, had to get up at 5 and got back at half six - wasn't supposed to get back til about 8 but it all turned out to be a bit of a washout so they let us go early. I got shitloads of free red bull though, which is wicked, haha.
And now I'm listening to the Scissor Sisters because they did that song from Last of the Timelords which was all "I can't decide whether you should live or die" and the Master was singing along while he was wheeling the Doctor around. I love it SO much. It's so much funnier now I've found out it was the Scissor Sisters...I mean, the Master, evil geezer and bad guy in general dancing around to the Scissor Sisters first thing in the morning, haha.
But yeah, that's about it. |

Age: 35 Gender: Female Posts: 5253 | September 24th, 2007 at 10:17pm Oh my god that song and I don't feel like dancing also by the scissor sisters were mine and Ed's soundtrack in Poland. We went round Krakow dancing to them. Skillz.
Yeah all my friends have been so helpful, times like this you realise how lovely they all are. If I don't catch this it will be a miracle though! He's on my lap now watching Harry Potter because he can't sleep and I can't help but feel I'm gonna catch it pretty soon.
You college sounds so cool! I've been working my ass off! Pfffffft. |

Age: 35 Gender: Female Posts: 17669 | September 24th, 2007 at 10:47pm Haha the Scissor Sisters are gradually growing on me. Their cover of Take Me Out from the Radio 1 Live Lounge is just brilliant. It's got a real jaunty feel to it and it's just wonderful.
BAAAAH you'll just have to sit around watching rubbish telly and drinking Lemsip if you catch it. Fingers crossed you won't though.
My college is very cool. It was such a doss today, but we haven't properly got into the work yet. We've got video production first thing tomorrow and I think we're getting sent out to wreak havoc with the handycams. I'm looking forward to that very much.
I'm gonna have an early night, methinks. I can't be arsed to stay up much later and I'm bored so I'm gonna give in. |

I'm thinking of trying that myself, actually, getting Cute With Good Taste in Music Boy to tutor me in pre-calc. Math and I hate each other. |

Annie I thoroughly recommend you do, studying has never been so fun.
I don't think I've ever learned anything so quickly either! He makes everything so simple and easy to remember, and he taught me how to write a good essay, which is something I've never actually been taught before... |

Age: 35 Gender: Female Posts: 17669 | September 26th, 2007 at 09:28pm Pfft, if you've never been taught how to write a decent essay then your teachers were BLATANTLY shit.
Did he use the SEX method? (There's the PEE Chain too, but you know, thought that one would appeal more).
FP's got a new driving instructor and she seems really nice. She laughed at loads of things FP said on the phone. That makes FP's ego this big: *holds hands about a metre apart* |

Age: 35 Gender: Female Posts: 5253 | September 26th, 2007 at 09:36pm My teachers WERE shit, and they hated me and I hated them which didn't help, except my business teacher, but he taught me business and helped with my maths, so I never learnt essays.
I blame school for my dumbness.
But hell, if being a little bit thick gets me tutored by Ed, and that in turn gets me good grades, then my god I'm glad.
Na he used PEE and PEC, tell me about this SEX method, then I can teach him. (Seriously I really do want to know though. ) |

Pffft I wouldn't complain either.
SEX = Statement Example Xplanation.
Haha, we had all these signs around school which were like "Stretch your PECs" and stuff like that, it was awesome.
Gah, I have to do a report on Hollywood film costs and I just can't be arsed so I'm gonna get up early and do it. It's really bad, doing it on the morning it's due this early on in the course, but I don't have the pressure to get it done otherwise so I just let myself get distracted. BAAAAAAAAH. |

I miss the Doctor. I wish I had teachers like that.
Ed says they used to tell them to "Pee all over their page" Nice. |

Haha you should definitely do that.
And my god I wish I had teachers that used the word 'correctamundo' in just like, the best way possible, like EVER.
That's really pleasant...not. |
