Wait, what?  How are you Lanes!? I read above that you're going to school in Vermont, which must be amazing! Is it gorgeous there? I also read that your roommate is maybe less than awesome. I went through the same thing my freshman year, which can be kind of awkward when you're adjusting to everything else. Hopefully you meet someone you want to room with next year...perhaps someone who likes the Foo Fighters and other decent music?  |

Right now I'm at my friend's college since I had a long weekend (no classes today) and it's an all girl's college which is.. need I say, a little different. A lot less testosterone and it's interesting. I go back to Vermont today. I really do like the school a lot, it truly is gorgeous, you can see the mountains from my window and in some of the dorms that face Lake Champlain you can see a great sunset over the lake and it's gorgeous. As for the roommate.. heh.. yeah. She's a little less then awesome. We just don't really talk and I had to save her in the beginning of the year from practically dying when she was hazed for sailing and ended up passed out on the floor of our room, lying in her own puke and not really responding or being coherent. Needless to say it wasn't fun and she wasn't too nice about it so whatever. There are some people I've met that I could room with noone major, my best friend on campus is actually transferring after this year because they don't have her major which is kind of sad but I mean, I'm still continuously meeting new people all the time. I've met a few people who like the Foo mostly just guys haha. One guy on my floor actually was at the same concert I went to over the summer. Other than that, it's all good. No potential lovers yet I've got 3 years so I'm not too worried. Hope all is good with you! What's been going on with life in Michigan?!? |

Sometimes flatmates can be annoying enough when they're in your face (on the other hand sometimes they can be awesome) but still, I think I would find a roommate a bit too much.  I too can see mountains from my bedroom window, they're all covered in snow right now, really pretty.  Oh and Lucy I did risk it! And am now officially going out with the guy next door.  |

I'm so jealous you're going to school in Vermont. I wish I would have gone to school out of state. She was lying in her own vomit? Cripes, you two should have bonded over that, haha. She, at the very least, could have thanked you...but maybe she was embarrassed. At least you only have a few months left with her. Life in Michigan is good...but busy. I don't know if I told anyone besides Lucy or Inari, but Eli and I got married at the end of last September in North Carolina. I'm still getting used to having a husband, haha Aaand I also just took a new job and Eli and I moved into a new house...so, like I said, busy. But it's a good kind of busy  I can't believe Billie Joe is 37 today! Gah! |

I'm hoping next year I'll be able to be more touristy and do more Vermont things like apple picking and I totally want to go out in the fall and take pictures of trees and stuff like that. Yeah, it was not fun. Her sailing team got suspended for the rest of the season which I feel bad for but whatever I think it's back this semester.And she'll be busy and out of the room more often so it's not too bad. She asked what happened after she got back from the hospital and was just like "oh..." So whatever, it's in the past. It's a good story to tell people though about my first semester in college lol. Ah! That's so exciting! how was the wedding?? Does Eli have family in North Carolina? Didn't you guys/ or Eli see the Foos in NC right? Ah what does this new job do? New house! AH it's like a whole new life. It all sounds so exciting. How are the pups? |

But BJ, why so blond?Lanes, augh, your roommate sounds difficult. Hopefully you can just kind of leave each other alone and find somebody better next year. It's awesome that you're making friends all over the place, it'll probably settle out next year (especially once you decide on a major) and you'll get closer with people. Look at me, offering advice like I know anything about college  I'm still waiting to hear back from EVERYWHERE. Hoping for Northwestern at this point, but would be more than happy with NYU or Boston U or anywhere I applied, really. I'm into Pitt but have no desire to go there, so. I just really want to know where I got in already, augggggh. One more month. Liz: OMG YOU ARE MARRIED! That's so weird, in such an awesome way  : I'm glad you're busy and happy and life is fabulous. Not that I don't stalk your LJ often  Yeah the roommate and I are on good terms at the moment. I acutaly smoked with her the other day which was just bizarre and stupid because i had to go meet some kid for class later and couldn't focus. Stupid, stupid. But anyways... I've been on a roll with cute boys, i mean nothing happening but they're still fun to look at. Ran into the guy I liked last semester, glad that's over. But it was nice seeing him we talked for a bit he was perplexed as to why some kid called him "bro" and was like REALLY? REALLY? And then saw other cute boy that i met on monday at the writing center, acutally i think this was like 5 steps before the other one i mentioned but nothing exciting. And last weekend I met the cuteeeest boy ever at a party. but he doesn't even go to our school fuckkk. I'm hoping cute boys will happen this weekend. I MISS EVERYONE. Aw Lexy  My friend's boyfriend is in Australia for a year so yeah... ugh that must suck. but when he comes back.. the LOVEEE iwll be strong.. unless he's back already then this is useless. He's on both the mountain biking and surf teams for the Uni and part of the clubs too so he's quite a busy boy at weekends, but oh well he'll be back soon. |
