I heard people (well, people in America anyway) threw a fit because the little 10-year-old girl got to have another turn because she forgot the lyrics?

And is Susan Boyle still in the final?

Yeah, people are seriously uptight over this show, its bizarre. I just don't think they should have put a kid through who had to have her mum come on to the stage and stop her crying, she clearly wasnt ready to have 100 grand and a performance in front of the queen blah blah. Having said that, she's just done tonights performance without a hitch.

Yeah Susan Boyle's still in, she freaks me right out. I'm rooting for Shaheen, the Welsh kid with the awesome voice, and Aidan, the kid with the insane dance moves.

I heard some dance troupe won the top prize? And Susan took second?

Sounds pretty intense Wink

Who the fuck gets colds in the summer? I never get sick at all during the year even when it's -5 for a full week at school. It better not be the fucking swine flu. Well my idea of a good night is to attempt to go to sleep before 3 am and curl up in my bed and read Elle's No One Knows with a huge pint of water in a german glass that's obviously meat for beer.

good evening all.

Oh did anyone watch that video with the guys in Japan on the TV show. i laughed hysterically at the awkwardness. it totally reminds me of the SNL skits they did with Chris Farley on the game show where he didn't realize what he was playing and people were chopping their fingers off and stuff. Okay I'm obviously a little delirious here. Time to read! Smile

Adorable, haha. I am flattered that I am somebody's bedtime reading and I hope you feel better soon. I had a cold the other week and my smartass kids kept diagnosing me with swine flu and calling 'catch it, bin it, kill it!' whenever i sneezed (dont know if you got paranoid patronising tv ads about it over there or if its just my country thats insane).

YES the Japan interview was freaking gorgeous, especially Tre with his Japanese phrases written on his hand. Also, if you watch closely, there is about two seconds of BJ stroking Tre's hair at the end which obviously didnt pass under my radar.

Right, off to school. Last half term of the year starts now.... wish me luck!

NOK was, like, an integral part of my childhood. Or adolescence, I guess, haha. <333 And oooh I finally watched the boys on the Colbert Report and I have to say, I haven't seen Stephen rendered speechless too often but Tre totally did it. "What about robes, do you like robes?" Tre: "I like to DISrobe..." Laughing

Midget Maroo I watched Fight Club tonight with my mom and my brother. My mom was pretty speechless after the movie. She thought it was good but it was really weird. I think it's kinda becoming one of my favorite movies. I've seen it at least 3 times now and I can't say I'm getting sick of it. It helps that Brad Pitt is gorgeous and that I'm falling in love with Edward Norton too and his fucking awesomeness after seeing him in this and American History X in my English class this semester. I can totally see why you love him now.

Anyone wanna recommend any Ed Norton films for me to rent?

and Pearl Jam on Conan tonight! our boys are on tomorrow night HOORAH!

Dude, I don't think I could watch that with my mother Laughing I've seen it 4 times in its entirety but I watch it in bits when it's on TV, usually. And SEE? SEE? ED NORTON IS THE LOVE OF MY LIFE Very Happy AHX and Fight Club are my 2 favorite Ed movies...the only other ones I've seen in full are Primal Fear and Rounders, actually. And he's pretty damn hot in Rounders if I do say so myself tehe

I don't even think he's that hot, I just love his acting and I love his voice. It's like that nasally thing but it makes him sound so innocent yet he's so fucing badass. oh my god in AHX I almost cried at the end. and I NEVER cry in movies. That movie was intense. Hmmm.. maybe I'll rent Primal Fear and Rounders. I want to see him in more movies but obv Fight Club and AHX are the most popular ones. He's awesome. And apparently he lives in NYC. Maybe I'll run into him one day tehe Not that there's hundreds of streets and avenues and shit like that. I'm pretty sure I saw the guy who is in those "I Love the..." thingson VH1 (not mo or the other cool ones. but the really snooty british gay one...) on 5th Ave when I was there 2 weeks ago with my gma and mom. I kept looking for famous people cuz we ate at rockefeller center and I was like. .. FAMOUS PEOPLE WHERE?! But alas.. noone was there Sad

I love Ed Norton, I started watching AHX and it was pretty good but I fell asleep before the end, I think I was a bit drunk at the time. Have you seen This is England? It's along similar lines, about a little British kid that gets caught up in the skinhead scene in the 80s, its a bit disturbing but really good. It made me cry but then, so did the Lion King.

God, how freaking hot is it? (rhetorical question, I realise nobody else lives here). I had to drive home from work with every window in my car wound down, playing 21stCB at an obscene volume. I know I said I didn't love it right away, but it's happened and I've decided the secret is playing it LOUD. Guhh. I don't feel bad that its taken this long, my favourite ever albums are all ones I fell in love with slowly. I'm seriously digging East Jesus Nowhere atm, that part in the middle when the guitar cuts out and its just the drums and bass and... fuck yeah. Similarly, the part in Restless Heart Syndrome where all the distortion comes in and he sings 'Know your enemy' and its like its all gone full circle and for some reason, it just kills me. I realise I am fucking 3 weeks late with this mindless outpouring of love.

God yeah, me and my mum were on the edge of our seats. Now its all over and Susan Boyle has had a nervous breakdown and admitted to rehab and I really don't know what I'm going to do with my Saturday nights until its time for Simon Cowell to wheel out his next batch of shitty talent show auditionees. Roll on XFactor, thats all I can say!

I love that part of EJN. Only part I don't like about it is that it totally reminds me of Holiday. I've taken a break from my Green Day obsession since I realized that listening to it at 2 am wasnt' getting me to sleep any earlier. But now I'm back to listening to 3EB again (fuckers). However, not listening to it hasn't helped cuz I'm still going to bed every at like 3 am. I need to take a roadtrip and just drive for 1 1/2 hrs and listen to the CD straight through because I've realized that's really the only way for me to enjoy it in its entirety besides the occasional songs here and there.

I am driving to MA this week so I'll have plenty of time to roll down the windows and blast some good ol' Green Day. Gotta whip out the CD case and figure out what CDs to bring. I love driving! Smile It's actually kind of pathetic and it fucking sucks that cars run on gas which needs to stop PMsing and just stay at one price.

That said, Elle, I'm up to Chapter 30 of NOK. I've apparently told myself I'm gonna read 10 chapters a day. RAWR

Dude, I literally never cry at movies but the end of AHX was the closest I've ever come. Something about being an older sibling, idk.

I think I need to listen to 21CB the whole way through again, I've only gotten to do that two or three times so far. But since I've GRADUATED and it's SUMMER now...I should have time Very Happy

Don't even talk to me about the price of gas, it is fucking dirt cheap in America!

I'm glad you're enjoying NOK again, it amuses me a lot and makes me nostalgic at the same time. I havent read it in a long time but when I do it reminds me of being young and lost. And having glandular fever cause I was sick as a dog most of the time I was writing it.

Congrats on graduating, Annie!

Check out his eyezzzzz....

Omg, Elle, I've had the worst week ever, and what do I have waiting for me in my inbox? Love, that's what Smile I'll read right now and get back to you!

Lana, if you like Ed Norton you should see Primal Fear. That movie is insane. I also really like Keeping the Faith, which is a romantic type comedy he did with Ben Stiller and Jenna Elfman. It's quite cute and the plot is pretty original which I always appreciate.

Congrats on graduating, Annie! That's so exciting! Any big summer plans? Smile
