You're right FP, I do need to stick up for myself a bit better at gigs, I'm sort of afraid to get squished sometimes. Hopefully I can get some practice this year, when I'm living somewhere bands actually play frequently.

First thing to do Annie, is make sure people can't push in front of you in the first place. There are several ways to avoid being mugged off in such a fashion, first and foremost, make yourself even more solid than you are normally. You know how cats/dogs can make themselves heavier when they don't want to be picked up? Well humans can too, and it's all about not letting somebody shift you over, even slightly. You have to kind of brace yourself, so nothing but Billie beckoning you over whilst wearing his police hat can make you move.

Secondly, try and take up as much space as possible, so no one can just squeeze past. If you're with friends, try and make a bit of a barrier.

Thirdly, if someone does succeed in getting past you, ask politely if they could move over slightly so you can see (if they've pushed in in a polite way) or get yourself a fail proof line that will leave people shaking in their boots with a phobia of small people. If people just barge past you, then a good old stamp on the back of the knee will get them out of your sightline and they won't come back.

Je suis returne! (Didn't get any better at French over the weekend, no).

God, France is a bloody long way away. Came back with a crapload of wine and a hangover though, so trip wasn't wasted. I love roadtrips!

Also, got pulled over by idiotic policeman in Dover, because my wiperblade was hanging off slightly at one end and apparently my "visability is reduced" and I "may not notice a child stepping out into the road". The whole time he was talking at me I just kept wishing Billie would step out of the police car in his sexy hat and be all "I'll take it from here, Jim."

By the way, Liz, that is an adorable picture of Tre. Aaand that setlist sounds awesome. I'm so, so excited, I booked my redeye flights the night after the show and my mother has told me she will 'have no sympathy at all, Elle, if you are delayed and end up being late'. I told her I could deal with that.

Ok, I'm off to play football (there's a sentence that doesn't often leave my mouth, haha.)

Yeah, I;m on my third glass of cheap French wine already this evening. At this rate we'll have gotten through the lot by the end of the week. I'm also watching a giraffe dissection on TV. They have lots of bits in them.

It is getting better, thanks Lanes I have wine and Johnny Depp and cuddles from my dog. There are also naughty thoughts of Billie and Tre going through my head...which are telling me I should be writing a quick one-part about such slutty images

Can't go wrong with Johnny Depp. Which movie are you watching? . Although I saw Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas at 2 AM one time and that fucking creeped me out and gave me nightmares for a while. I thought it was fucked up sober, I can't imagine watching it high.

Summer's been okay, somewhat uneventful unfortunately. I've just been spending all my money on concerts. I'm considering getting tickets for the show on Saturday in Albany cuz there's still GA tickets available and I really want to see Green Day in the pit. The last month has involved me chasing after cute little 5 year old boys. I've decided I like the little runt ones best. I mean let's face it, Billie's a runt and he's adorable. And all my favorite little boys are the tiny little ones that apparently like beating me up and stealing my sunglasses.

Yeah other than that... nothing really. Unfortunately I don't have an exciting life.

Did anyone see the Harry Potter movie? I thought the effects were awesome I was just disappointed at how much of the book they left out.
