iATEjimmysWORLD King For A Couple Of Days ![]() Age: 41 Gender: Female Posts: 4894 ![]() | I watched "Once Upon a Time in Mexico" because it's kind of violent, which was necessary after the day I had, and Johnny plays this amazingly funny and sarcastic character ![]() I haven't seen Harry Potter but I've heard tons of mixed reviews. My friend Phil said that basically nothing happened in the movie and it was boring. I had another friend who said it was beyond amazing and has seen it 4 times already. I have a third friend who said it was too romantic and that Hollywood ruined the plot of the book. Sooo, I'm not sure about this HP movie! You absolutely have to go see Green Day. You will not regret it, Lanes! And I totally want to go with you, haha ![]() It's good you've had a "boring" summer, especially after your freshman year of college. Enjoy relaxing and chasing around the cute little five year old boys! And for goodness sake, go see our favorite little runt, Billie Joe! xx |
The Fool On The Hill Had A Life Before GSB ![]() Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 26154 | Well I'm definitely seeing them next week at the Garden but I'm not a big fan of going to shows there cuz it's so big and massive hence why I'm so tempted to shell out another 60 bucks for the Albany show. I'm just hoping my friend can get off work that day and we can go. Hopefully by tomorrow night I'll know. Yeah I definitely agree with all those reviews that people have said. Now I have a craving to watch some Johnny Depp.. or John Cusack.. or Ron Livingston since I watched a bit of Office Space earlier. Ugh. It's supposed to rain tomorrow. Which means 5 year olds sitting inside a bunk all day watching movies on a TV that barely has any volume. Not going to go over well. Maybe I can get one of them to sit on my lap? Never works even when I try to bribe them. I totally sound like Michael Jackson right now. They're so cute! I still don't think I could deal with a profession with kids though. They're fun for a few hours but then I think after 2 months I'd die. I don't know how you do it Ellie. I admire your patience. |
iATEjimmysWORLD King For A Couple Of Days ![]() Age: 41 Gender: Female Posts: 4894 ![]() | Omg, it's 4am and I STILL can't sleep. FML. I guess I'm pulling an all-nighter. I think it's awesome you're going to see Green Day at MSG, Lanes! I bet it is a bit overwhelming though, but I would also bet that Billie will be especially fired up. Yum ![]() |
xZildjianRockerx King For A Couple Of Days ![]() Age: 41 Gender: Female Posts: 4936 ![]() | I watched Fear And Loathing stoned once before going to bed and couldn't sleep for about five hours. It's pretty fucked up, but I like it. Sometimes I'm not sure how I work with kids either, but it is nothing like summer camp because they are contained in a small area and they are not hyped up on sugar and sunshine and they are not under the impression that your job is to ensure they are having a huge amount of fun at all times. Camp is exhausting, I feel your pain. My brother loved HP, and has a huge cardboard Hermione in his living room, which scared the hell out of me the other day. His gf works in the bar in the arthouse cinema in town and apparently gifted him Hermione, haha. I'm not realy a fan of the movies but I think I'll check it out to see what they did with this one. |
xZildjianRockerx King For A Couple Of Days ![]() Age: 41 Gender: Female Posts: 4936 ![]() | If anyone would like to watch a cute interview, I have copied and pasted it for your viewing pleasure: There's a lot of ramble but around the 1.30 mark BJ talks about writing 'sappy shit' and it's pretty cute. He also talks over Mike and apologises and it made me emit a strange noise, haha. ![]() |
Flaming Phalanges! Basket Case ![]() Age: 35 Gender: Female Posts: 17669 | HP is mayjah. Definitely the best film yet. It's super funny and really well shot and stays pretty close to the book, referencing lines and stuff but it's still a film in its own right, if you get what I mean. I've seen it twice, and thoroughly recommend it. ![]() |
iATEjimmysWORLD King For A Couple Of Days ![]() Age: 41 Gender: Female Posts: 4894 ![]() | I saw that interview a few weeks ago on Fuse! "I didn't mean to talk in your back swing" Haha, *squeezes Billie* So little, so cute ![]() |
iATEjimmysWORLD King For A Couple Of Days ![]() Age: 41 Gender: Female Posts: 4894 ![]() | I'll probably go see HP this week just because of the hype and because I usually do enjoy the films despite everything. Plus, Ron warms my heart, especially when he's all squeaky and nervous! xx |
Flaming Phalanges! Basket Case ![]() Age: 35 Gender: Female Posts: 17669 | Ron's FAB in this film. Absolutely brilliant. I adore him in this film. |
Alexa. Falling In Love With The Board ![]() Age: 35 Gender: Female Posts: 5253 | Flaming Phalanges!: He is! I saw it the other day (for freeeeeee!). It was awesome. ![]() I'm sooper bored. |
xZildjianRockerx King For A Couple Of Days ![]() Age: 41 Gender: Female Posts: 4936 ![]() | Would I be able to take someone to see HP who has never read the books or see the films? My best friend falls into this category, I'm not sure where she has been for the past ten years. And everyone should be over at Mibba right now reading the latest chapter of Balancing Acts because Liz has updated it and it's great. Get out of here, people. God, I think that makes this post 'on topic'... guys, I feel funny... ![]() |
Alexa. Falling In Love With The Board ![]() Age: 35 Gender: Female Posts: 5253 | xZildjianRockerx: ![]() I took Will to see it and he's only read the first two books and seen none of the films and he still enjoyed it. I had to explain a couple of things afterwards (mainly who people were), but he still enjoyed it, guess it depends how willing they are to watch the film and ask questions after, it's pretty self explanatory though I think. ![]() |
The Fool On The Hill Had A Life Before GSB ![]() Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 26154 | Ron is amazing in this film. The whole love potion part made me giggle. I love him no matter what. And he reminds me of my brother's best friend who's also a redhead and dorky and fails with girls (hence probably why I love him). There was one scene that reminded me of him and my brother that made me laugh outloud. |
xZildjianRockerx King For A Couple Of Days ![]() Age: 41 Gender: Female Posts: 4936 ![]() | Boo, I'm sick ![]() I have a fever and a headache and no ability to keep food down. Fucking typical, first week of the holidays. Plus, I took some sersiously hardcore painkillers and they gave me crazy dreams, partly about Britian being under attack from some kind of nuclear warfare where I was running away down my street and the ground was burning my feet, and partly where I was watching a green day show, but from the angle of sitting on the steps up to Tre's drumrise. Very strange! |
Flaming Phalanges! Basket Case ![]() Age: 35 Gender: Female Posts: 17669 | Poor Elle. ![]() At least a good dream cancelled out the bad dream. Me and my friend both had a cheese sandwich at about 4am and then went to sleep to see if we'd get crazy dreams and I pulled the short straw. My first dream involved me waiting in Starbucks with my brother and Mika was in front of us in the queue and I ended up getting pissed off cos he took his sweet ass time to order, and the second dream I was walking down an alley near my house and there were all grubs and maggots on the floor and I was bare foot and I trod on one of the grubs and I could proper feel it all squashed on my heel. I woke up and I was rubbing my foot on the settee to try and get it off, then I had to check that there weren't grub remnants on the sofa. My friend on the other hand, had a dream that 3OH!3 played in her nan's house and I made really good friends with Nat, and then she dreamed that she had an affair with Alan Rickman. NOT FAIR. |
xZildjianRockerx King For A Couple Of Days ![]() Age: 41 Gender: Female Posts: 4936 ![]() | No, the wine isn't even to blame! It's true the green day show bit did sort of cancel the bad out, although that part came first. One minute I was sitting on the drum rise watching all the people in the front give me evils, next there was an explosion at the back of the arena and everyone started running. The weirdest part was that I didn't even run with Tre, who was obviously right next to me, I forgot all about them and just wanted to keep myself from dying. *shrug* Alan Rickman as Severus Snape? Interesting! |
Flaming Phalanges! Basket Case ![]() Age: 35 Gender: Female Posts: 17669 | No, Alan Rickman as he was in Love Actually, but personally, I don't care either way. We're having cheese again tonight and I'm hoping i get the good dreams tonight rather than the sick ones. |
xZildjianRockerx King For A Couple Of Days ![]() Age: 41 Gender: Female Posts: 4936 ![]() | Flaming Phalanges!: Hate to break it to you, but I'm pretty sure the whole cheese/ dreams thing is a myth. Guh, the Alan Rickman/ Emma Thompson storyline in Love Actually makes me cry, I can't stand it. My boyfriend has given the dog a haircut and he looks ridiculous. Even the dog looks unimpressed, I think he knows. |
Flaming Phalanges! Basket Case ![]() Age: 35 Gender: Female Posts: 17669 | Well we tested it out because I haven't had any memorable dreams in aaaaaaaages and then we had a load of cheese right before we went to sleep and we both had really vivid dreams. Unless it was the cucumber responsible for the whole thing, but I doubt it. Yeah, it's so horrible at that bit where she starts listening to the CD in her room and cries. ![]() Oh dear, poor dog. It'll grow back though, eventually... |
