This has reminded me, that near where I worked in NY there was a town called Gaylordsville, and all my kids used to giggle on the bus when we drove past the sign. I used to giggle too, but covertly.
I watched the first series, started with the second but gave up after about 2 episodes.
I can't believe they have a live feed of them 24/7, I mean REALLY.

Oh man, my brother has been giggling about Cockfosters the entire time we've been here. I'm interested to hear which stops could be more ridiculous.
I think I went past that Topshop yesterday, actually! I know we were on Oxford Street at some point, anyway. Tomorrow's pretty well booked as my mom wants to see more of the touristy things middle-aged Americans come to London to see (Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, etc etc), but if we get a moment I may try to drag them over
Eeeeurgh spiders. We live in the middle of nowhere so there's always a nice assortment of insect life running around our house and somehow I'm always the one who has to kill the spiders and centipedes. *shudder*
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh seriously, they're not worth it. They're very dull. I suggest you run off and meet them again later.

Oh my god I don't think I could deal with centipedes that would freak me out... I hate all bug related things really; spiders, earwigs, MOTHS, hate moths...
Sorry if my curry sauce offends you FP, but that's how I roll.
Ugh, moths freak me out big time. More so than a spider or anything like that. I can't sleep if I hear a gnat buzzing around in my room either, cos I'm petrified that I'll get bitten.
Psssh, don't care, they're your chips you're ruining.
I'm going to IKEA tomorrow, ohhhhhhhhhhh exciting times.

Just got back from Green Day pt 2 at the Garden. OH. MY. GOD. This concert was wayyyy fucking better then Saturday. I didn't have GA but fuck that. I had pretty good seats and the setlist was fucking worth it. They all were in such a better mood, like I didn't feel like they were putting everything into the show on Saturday but they seemed to be having so much fun tonight. Billie must have decided to screw everything and went on a whole old songs binge. We got FOD, Who Wrote Holden Caulfied, Going to Pasalacqua, When I Come Around, Murder City, they covered the Who's A Quick One, While He's Away. Apparently they started to do Stuart and the Ave but messed up and went to Holden Caulfield (I'm reading GDC since I can't remember anything and they're saying that Stuart and the Ave has never even been attemped live ever)Part of Stop Drop and Roll from FBHT, Macy's Day Parade during the encore
OH and they did Knowledge! They did the whole picking a drummer, bassist and guitarist thing. Mike gave the bassist his bass and hahah the drummer was being a typical drummer and showing off and Tre kept smacking him in the head. It was great and the girl took forever to figure it out and Billie spent like 10 minutes trying to show her the chords and everything.
weirdest thing was they didn't even play Longview AT ALL. I kept asking my friend if they played it and I forgot about it or something but it was so bizarre. I kept expecting Billie to walk out with Blue and Mike to start playing the riff but it never came which was weird. At the same time I think it's badass that they didn't play the song that made them famous
Now I'm going to bed. they played for about 3 full hours. it didn't end til 12 and I didn't get home from the city til 115 and now I'm going to sleep. Good night all and happy Green Day dreams to everyone.

Gah, Elana, I am SO EXCITED! And I'm also so jealous of all you fecking Americans going to more than one show
I will be gutted if they come to England and do a really safe setlist now, because I'm basically expecting a full back catalogue, haha.
I think they have all seemed really happy lately and I think that's whats making the shows so good, they're just totally relaxing and taking it as it comes, it's really nice cause AI was sort of repeated down to the smallest detail at every date.
Anyway, yay! And whats this about typical drummers! Hush your beak! Gah, I'd love to get smacked in the head by Tre, I'm not sure I'd actually make it to the drumset though because I'd get too distracted by BJ on the way. Sigh...

By the way, Annie, I'm with FP... Westminster Abbey is sort of interesting and everything, but it is basically walking around an old building looking at stones with dead people on them. And as for Buckingham Palace, really. The royal family are the biggest waste of space ever and I just refuse to even entertain the idea of them by setting foot there.

Flaming Phalanges!:
Gosh Elle, you're such a post whore.
But YAY Elana for having a super hardcore time.
Gaaaaaaaaah everytime someone posts about a show I get super excited and want it to be October NOW.
I know, but you all love it.
And I KNOW. The anticipation is killing me.
Have fun Lexy... I've never been there but I've heard it's nice. And, it might not be raining there, which is always a bonus. Fucking Britain. It hasn't let up here all day. What happened to this global warming we were all promised, that's what I want to know.
I just got back from doing my uni shopping and I feel all grown up. I have a bread knife! Wowzers! Ikea wa a bit of a letdown, apart from the bright red chopping board and bright blue collander. Tesco is the place to go for cookware, and Argos for bedding.
Gosh, I can't wait to move out.

Oh my LORD, Elana. This is why the rest of the nation hates New York Seriously, though, that's almost too awesome for words. I'm with Elle, I loooove that they're loosening up because the one bad thing about the last tour was that the show I saw in Pittsburgh was virtually identical to the one on Bullet in a Bible...which was the same as the time they played on Storytellers...etc etc. but GAH. I would gladly give up Longview for that setlist, haha.
Elle and FP, you're both right, this morning at the Abbey/Palace/etc was loooong. haha. I did make my family go up to Abbey Road, because the Beatles are far more interesting than Queen Victoria to me, as tourist attractions go.
And centipedes are possibly my least favorite things on the PLANET. The more legs something has, the less I like it, generally. But my brother's a little girl and doesn't like to kill them so it falls to me.
FP, you just reminded me of all the college shopping I have to do when I get back. oooof.
