I hate "resort" to porn. Its not always a bad thing. However, if they don't WANT to do it, they shouldn't have to.

did i accidently stumble into the dita appreciation thread. XD.
I'm not a big fan of pornography because basically about 90 percent of any porno film is shoddy work with bad acting, bad actors and a bad script. So the only real reason for it is so you can see a bunch of people naked pretending to have sex.
20 years ago having nudity in a film use to be artistic it was away of shocking the critics yet as nudity become more and more acceptable in films to gain a real shock factor you really have to go into the grotesque. not only must you have a shot of a naked women but hey lets also show her having her limbs ripped off. Thats not class and it's not artistic nudity. For the most part I respect Burlesque dancers and i think it's a good act, but it's still stripping.
I do think porn degrades women, i'm not going to try and stop pornography being made but seeing women as only sexual objects is hurtful to trying to prove to the many millions who still believe we are not equal.

"its still stripping" Is there something wrong with stripping? It may not be classy and artistic in your opinion, but other people adore it. (I swear its not just me and Dita) It involves dancing and all kinds of hard work and dedication, well in Burlesques case at least.

Not all the viewers, just the ones with ignorant stereotypes. If someone is stupid enough to feel that women are just for sex, I doubt the abscene of porn would change their mind.

Her view is respected, but it's common courtesy here to elaborate and defend one's opinions. Otherwise, the whole point of "dsicussion" is moot.
