I was in my dad's bathroom and someone had the radio going. I think me and my sister were brushing our hair or something. I was 11, she was 10 and we were kinda singing along to it...and I thought it was weird at first, mostly the line "Sometimes I give myself the creeps, sometimes my mind plays tricks on me" *shrug* I don't know why it was weird then. But I first heard Longview when it came out...I was 10, not exactly 11 yet. |

| February 6th, 2007 at 03:10pm I probably heard some song off of Nimrod when I was little, but I didn't know it was Green Day. So the first song I heard that I knew was Green Day was Minority. My sister had been pretty much blasting it nonstop in the spring of 2005. My mom heard it and thought they sounded Irish. So I pretty much thought that the Boys Green were the coolest "Irish" band ever. I love my mommy. |

 | February 7th, 2007 at 02:03pm I probly heard them before but didn't know it was them, but the first one i remember hearing in full was Boulevard of Broken Dreams. Yes, it was one of those love at first listen things =]
But when American Idiot came out for a while i was innocently oblivious, and simply saw clips of the video on Top Of The Pops when they were doing the chart and just kind paid a little attention as i just thought they had a very attractive lead singer and guitarist....
Yesh, and with the music, also the interest in said frontman grew also =] |
