Buddy Christ Falling In Love With The Board ![]() Age: 32 Gender: Male Posts: 5821 ![]() | He was stil a Horcrux, unintentional or not.. Does anyone think in the "encyclopedia", Jo will tie up all the loose ends? The epilogue was lacking, for me at least |

folkin' around. King For A Couple Of Days ![]() Age: - Gender: Female Posts: 3243 | Well, I finished the book on Sunday. Took me forever. It took so long because I was trying to soak up every page. Though seriously, I think this book made me dyslexic. I was reading into the wee hours of the night and the words started to bleed. @_@ I loved the book. It's either my first or second favorite of the series. J.K. did the ending nicely. I was devestated when Harry was going to die. I even cried. (I'm sure like most people). And delighted when he lived. I loved the concept of The Deathly Hallows. I actually thought that Harry could give up looking the horcruxes, thinking he was going to become the Master of Death. I was wrong, of course. I thought that the destroying of the diadem was kinda lame. You know because of the fire making it lose it's power. I wish the epilouge could of went into detail about like the ministry and stuff and if it got re-organized. And I gotta a question: Is Victoire Bill and Fleur's daughter? |
Macfadyen Basket Case ![]() Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 16175 | Mhairi Potter.: Voldemort was aiming for 7 horcruxes, himself being the last part. So 6 external horcruxes. With Harry being the 7th, he unknowingly had his soul in 8 parts rather than the intended 7. |
Anji Basket Case ![]() Age: 35 Gender: Female Posts: 15914 ![]() | Wouldn't that be really pushing the limit to how many times you can split your soul? |
Matt Smith Admin ![]() Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 31134 ![]() ![]() | Anji: I think pushing the limit would heave appealed to Voldemort XD |
rollerpig GSBitch ![]() Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 62283 | Buddy Christ: I don't think there really are any loose ends.. And the encyclopedia thing isn't certain. ![]() |
rollerpig GSBitch ![]() Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 62283 | She wrote the epiloague years ago didn't she? |
Matt Smith Admin ![]() Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 31134 ![]() ![]() | Rollerpig:Yeah, when she first started. I fucking hope she writes the encyclopaedia, though ![]() |
Matt Smith Admin ![]() Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 31134 ![]() ![]() | OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG. http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/19935372/ ^Read that. “Mr. Weasley, he was the person who got a reprieve,” Rowling said. “When I sketched out the books, Mr. Weasley was due to die in Book Five.” Wow, I really wasn't expecting that. I really thought it was Hagrid. I'm glad Mr. Weasley lived, though, he's really grown on me. |
Matt Smith Admin ![]() Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 31134 ![]() ![]() | The encyclopedia would include back stories of characters she has already written but had to cut for the sake of narrative arc (“I've said before that Dean Thomas had a much more interesting history than ever appeared in the books”), as well as details about the characters who survive “Deathly Hallows,” characters who continue to live on in Rowling’s mind in a clearly defined magical world. Hogwarts, for example, has a new headmaster (“McGonagall was really getting on a bit”), and Rowling said she can see Harry going back to give the "odd talk" on Defense Against the Dark Arts. That class, by the way, is now led by a permanent professor since Voldemort’s death broke the jinx which didn’t allow a teacher to remain in the position for more than a year. I want it nooooooow. ;( I bet it comes out in like, 10 years or something. And I bet Snape isn't in it ![]() |
rollerpig GSBitch ![]() Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 62283 | Bloodraine: O_O OMG. Omgomgomg thank God I love Mr. Weasley! ![]() |
rollerpig GSBitch ![]() Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 62283 | Bloodraine: Probably. T_T |
rollerpig GSBitch ![]() Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 62283 | Bloodraine: Maybe that's the reason why people don't like it too much. ![]() |
rollerpig GSBitch ![]() Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 62283 | All in all there died about 60 people in DH. FTW CHILDREN'S BOOK. ![]() I still can't get over Lupin, Tonks, Fred but I guess with so many deaths, I should be glad for the ones who survived. ![]() |
Plug In Baby. Addict ![]() Age: 34 Gender: Female Posts: 11334 | I just want to find out what happens to Umbridge. |
Jay Tee Had A Life Before GSB ![]() Age: 36 Gender: Male Posts: 26777 ![]() ![]() | Plug In Baby.: I seriously was hoping she'd die. I hated her even more than Bellatrix. At least Bellatrix was outwardly evil and a dark witch... Umbridge was just annoying. Even more so than Rita Skeeter. Great characters for the book but I fucking hated them both T_T And about the Horcrux thing, I'm sure Dumbledore said in book 6 that splitting your soul into even two was a very risky thing to do. Even three would probably border on the unstable. 8 obviously is just insane. |
Flaming Phalanges! Basket Case ![]() Age: 35 Gender: Female Posts: 17669 | Yeah, but whoever said Voldemort was sane? |
Meski Addict ![]() Age: 32 Gender: Male Posts: 14856 ![]() | Severus Snape:I really agree with you on Umbridge, I wanted Harry to Avada Kedavra her, tbh. |
Peardrops Addict ![]() Age: 36 Gender: Female Posts: 11782 ![]() | I'm sad about Bellatrix, but only because she's played by Helena Bonham Carter in the films and I absolutely love her to bits. |
