It just seems really weird. Him being gay would not only imply, but confirm that he once had sexual relations. And Dumbles having sexual relations is quite a scary thought. |

One doesn't have to have sex to have a sexual preference.
I'm hoping (in a really demented and tragic way) that he lived his life without love, yet still put great influence on it even though it had never worked for him. |

| October 22nd, 2007 at 03:18pm Apparently during the writing for the 6th film they were going to have a woman as Dumbledore's love interest in a flashback/memory, so Rowling told them first that Dumbledore was actually gay before mentioning it in this interview.
It surprised me when I read it but it makes sense when you think about it.
