| Jay Tee Had A Life Before GSB  Age: 36 Gender: Male Posts: 26777 | In a completely shocking move, Green Day have revealed that they are in fact, Foxboro Hot Tubs. They made the announcement in an e-mail to MTV News , ending months of not-really speculation that the Hot Tubs were Green Day. The band added: "We think that the only similarity [between the Hot Tubs and Green Day] is that we are the same band. That is basically the only similarity, We are Jason White, Jason Freese, Michael Pritchard, Frank Edwin Wright the Third and the Reverend Strychnine Twitch. ... We are four guys who love to play music and be spontaneous, [and] after a few late night jams and a few too many bottles of wine, we were inspired to record some rockin' eight-track recordings." Green Day bassist Mike Dirnt's real name is Michael Pritchard, and drummer Tre Cool was born Frank Edwin Wright III. As for Reverend Strychnine Twitch, that's probably Billie Joe's real name. Later this month, the band will release their debut full length. The record is titled Stop Drop And Roll and is due out May 13, 2008.
