personally id say emo does not support suicide.but certain people have wierd ideas about everything,from emo to space travel to h-bombs so you cant just ban emo music
I met this emo kid who said when he died he was gonna go to the black parade. I told him "That's a good song, but I really doubt ya go there when ya die." He asked me where I think I'm gonna go and I said, "I hope heaven, because there's a beer volcano and a stripper factory. It's a hella lot better than marching for eternity. "
I met another emo kid who actually BOASTED about their suicide attempts. So I said, "Really? Why'd ya try to kill yourself?" And he said it was because his parents took his nailpolish. Seriously. So I tol him, "You tried to kill yourself over THAT? Spend a DAY with my stepdad - you'll have a REASON to wanna die." In fact, I believe that if you're stupid enough to wanna DIE because your parents took your nailpolish, YOU SHOULD BE DEAD RIGHT EFFING NOW.
Plenty of effing people have it worse than these kids, and they just need to get off their high horse of teenage angst and despair and THINK - not, "Gee, the people in third-world countries and the people who are getting shot and kidnapped and tortured and whatnot by their flimsy governments, or the twelve-year-old girls who are being sold to old men as sex slaves... Am I glad I'm not one of them!" And then, if they're REALLY not stupid, they should try to HELP; try better in school so they can get a job to help people, or join some organization - hell, even pick up goddamn LITTER off the side of the road! But no. They have to CUT THEMSELVES BECAUSE IT'S SO EFFING COOL.

Just some kid changing.
I'll be totally honest and say I don't know what emo is either.
I know you have the music, and then you have the style.
And then people tell me it's a way of life, and then they say it's a religion.
And at that point I'm just nodding my head and agreeing with them for the sake of
getting the hell out of there quicker.
Emo doesn't exist anymore.
They all either killed themselves off or devolved into Scene Kids.
Get with the now.
The 'now' kids scare me.

I could have kicked myself at work the other day, one of them came up to complain about something but I could take her seriously because of her mismatched clothes and biig ass hair 0.0.

emo...scene...same thing.
Isn't a way of life.
Just a way to describe how some people dress.
Not all the "cutting" "Suicide".
Just the emo/scene style.
And well, I haven't heard someone say it sense like,
6th grade, when those things matter.
Now it's just, people, dressing one way, and living happy the way they are.
And some music, it's a genre.
It's what my folks say,
all piercings don't look 'professional',
I guess it's what job you're going for.

Ahhh, yes.
I would much rather have the kid that has no holes in there face, and is a douche bag to my customers, and does a half as job, then some kids that pierced there face, but is hard working and respectful.
That's not always the case,
But really, think about it.
That's stupid.
Think about it, what REALLY isn't professinal about it?
There's no legit reason.
The job you're chasing doesn't matter on how you look.
the shop beside me wouldnt hire me a few months ago because i had real vivid red hair, and 2 holes at my ear lobe which most people have. They said that it was unwelcoming but if i was willing to change my hair they'd think about it

That shop is probably their livelihood. If they think hiring someone with dyed hair and piercings will scare off customers then it's completely reasonable for them to ask employees to adhere to a dress code.
