Okay. Consider this: I was already an outcast because of my hearing loss and my developmental delay, but when you put it together with the Alternative culture, that makes me even more of an outcast. I joined that culture because I realized that it was okay to be messed up because everyone in that culture has something inside of them that makes them different.

I didn't hear them complaining at all. You might have for whatever reason, but that was how I was in high school, and I didn't give a shit what people thought of me. My friends were my second family and we did everything together.
