Working Class Hero video
Greenday.com have just officially announced that Green Day will be shooting a new music video:
Green Day will contribute a cover of John Lennon's Working Class Hero to the forthcoming CD Instant Karma: The Campaign To Save Darfur, proceeds from which help support Amnesty International's campaign to focus attention on the urgent catastrophe in Darfur, Sudan. Working Class Hero, which appears on Lennon's 1970 album John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band, is considered one of the former Beatle's most overtly political songs, with its themes of class and social alienation. Green Day - singer-guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt, and drummer Tre Cool - will also shoot an accompanying video for the track.
The Idiot Club has also been updated with more live performances (from Comp'd) and various Bullet in a Bible trailers. There is also a new contest question.
Green Day's cover of Working Class Hero will hit the radio May 7th.
if this is how green day are gonna sound from now on, i'm gonna pull out my eyeballs and throw them under a bus...lol just kidding but it's not their best song...come on billie, pull your finger out your arse and write some more songs of your own.

Finally! I have been in desperate need of a new Green Day video and song. I wonder if the new video will be anything like "The Saints are Coming" with footage of the Darfur region. It would be a good way to get more people interested in what's going on over there. But it's their video not mine. Either way it will rock because it's Green Day!
