You're So Last Summer, chapter 2
It was the day of the concert, and I think Lillian was more excited and nervous than I was. You should have seen her face every time she saw the Makedamnsure video when she saw Mark haha it was really funny. She kept bugging me about 'who do you like?" 'You like Adam Lazzara." It really got annoying. Well I had like no clothes for the concert so Lillian and I went to Hottopic and bought some crap. There was a really cool belt I had been wanting so I bought that and Lillian bought a Simple Plan shirt.
"Why are you buying a Simple Plan shirt?" I asked.
"Cause they're good, and I'm wearing it tonight." Lilly said.
"We're seeing Taking Back Sunday, not Simple Plan." I said.
"Fine but I'm buying it!" Lilly said.
"Okay" I said.
After Lillian and I bought our things we went into Journeys and I had to buy new-checkered vans, and then I bought high top converse. We went back to my apartment and Lillian got dressed in my Taking Back Sunday shirt and jeans. I put on a black plain shirt and jeans and my new belt. Lillian put on a Simple Plan belt and black vans. I put on my black converse. Then I just did quick eyeliner and Lilly put on red eyeliner. Creepy I know.
We got to the concert about an hour before it started. We had so much fun, then Taking Back Sunday came on and Lillian screamed. I think there is something wrong with her. I started to scream too, then I saw Adam Lazzara and I was like wow! But I just sang along for two hours and Lilly and I screamed our hearts out when You're So Last Summer came on. It took about twenty minutes to get to the back of the venue. We showed the guy our tickets and he lead up the way. I kinda got like really nervous before we got in the band's room, but Lillian was laughing.
"Are you high Lillian?" I asked as we followed the guy to the band's room.
"No, I'm nervous." She said laughing.
"Okay then, well I'm nervous too but oh whatever." I said. I was too nervous to say anything.
"Here you go ladies." The big guys said as he pointed into where we say the band sitting down and talking.
Lillian went in first and I kinda followed in.
"Hey guys, you won the contests right?" Freddie the guitarist said.
"Yeah." I said.
"Well technically Laine won, but I came too." Lillian said.
"Oh that's cool what are you guys' names?" Adam asked.
"I'm Blaine and this is my friend Lillian." I said.
"Nice to meet..you." Adam said and he paused when he looked at me.
"Oh no my hair is orange I forgot, he probably thinks I'm a huge freak." I thought.
Adam extended his hand so I took it and we shook hands. Lillian went straight to Mark.
We both sat down, I couldn't believe I was sitting right next to Fred Mascherino, he was like my idol. Lillian was talking to Mark about drums. She played, but I taught her how to.
"So what do you do?" Adam asked me.
"I work at a record store with Lillian, and I'm going to college." I said.
"Oh that's awesome, what for?" He asked.
"To be a civil rights attorney." I said as I shook my head.
"That's really cool, that's a good profession." Adam said.
"Yeah my parent's wanted me to be a lawyer since I was like 10." I said.
"Well they probably just want the best." Adam said smiling. He had a smile to kill.
"Yeah, I hope so. You guys did really good tonight." I said.
"Thanks, you've been a fan for a long time?" He asked.
"Since the beginning." I said.
"Awesome." Adam said.
"Yeah." I said laughing.
"You're a really good Mosher, I saw you in the pit." He said.
"Yeah thanks, you probably saw my hair." I said laughing.
"The first time yeah." He said.
"My hair is like really messed up it was supposed to be copper, but nope its orange." I said laughing.
"It looks nice, you look really good in it." Adam said.
"Thanks." I said.
By the time I looked at my watch it was midnight. We had been talking since like 10:30!
