Billie Joe's a cappella off of Nimrod makes an appearances in a music video, filmed by Mark Kohr in Los Angeles in November 1997. The video shows Billie Joe sitting on a couch and on a bed playing his guitar and singing the lyrics as random people are spashed across the screen looking into "space". Two of the "random people" shown are Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool.

Even though I like Green Day's rockier side, this song just captured me when I first heard it on Nimrod. It's just so sad if you think about it.
Aww but what the hell, it's rock 'n' roll in its own way.
