In my pre-cal class in high school, my teacher was like, "What would you all do if you had 3 trillion dollars?"
Everyone was talking about how they'd buy a country and either turn it into an amusement park, resort place for themselves, or something. At first I was like, "I'd buy Haiti and make them rich." (I was one of the first students) After everyone else had gone, I was like, "I take it back. I'd buy Puerto Rico and make them all speak German."
Everyone laughed and Mr. Cummings was like, "Nice to know that deep down you're really a fascist."
So, I have no idea why I said German. It was the first language that popped into my head. :D
