oh god yes! remember Jerry Nadeau's wreck? McDowell's crash was alot worse than Nadeau. McDowell was fine from his wreck but Jerry was in a coma. thats when they invented the SAFER barrier to absorb the blow. I love how NASCAR is finding new ways to protect these drivers from a serious injury or even death.
