Orlando, Florida - TD Waterhouse Arena, April 15th, 2005

Wow. This was the first concert I've ever been to, and I'm definitely glad I didn't go to some crap one for my first time. This concert was incredible. Absolutely incredible. Sadly, i didn't have pit tickets, and was stuck in a seat, but it was awesome anyway. They started off with their 2001: A Space Oddesy theme for an intro. They followed with American Idiot, Jesus of Suburbia, Holiday, Are We the Waiting, St. Jimmy, Longview, Hitchin' a Ride, Brain Stew, Jaded, Knowledge, Basketcase, She, King for a Day, a cover of Shout, Wake Me up When September Ends, Minority, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, Maria, a cover of Queen's We Are the Champions, and finally, Good Riddance.

I've read some other reviews, and they say that GD plays with the crowd too much. Personally, I loved it. Billie Joe makes the crowd do the wave, brought a drummer, bassist, and guitarist up from the crowd to play Operation Ivy's "Knowledge." One of which, the "Kooky Bassist" for all of you who were there, who had originally told Billie Joe that he had played bass for 6 months, when the song was done, ran to the microphone and yelled, "I've only been playing for 6 weeks!" Billie Joe quickly replied, "Yeah, and you need to play for six more!" The bassist then tried to yell something about giving it up for Green Day, but the security guards dragged him away. Billie Joe also let the girl who played guitar keep the guitar. After that was all done, he yelled, "Allright, now get off my fucking stage!"

Billie Joe's comments and changing of song lyrics were usually pretty funny. Such as, in the cover of Queen's "We are the Champions," "I've taken my bows and my curtain calls! You've given me fame and fortune and everything that goes with it... And I'm Rick James, BITCH!"

Overall, this is easily the best concert I've ever attended... but not only because it's the first concert I've ever attended. I'm sure that when I go to other concerts, nothing can compare to the time I saw Green Day live.
