Orlando, Florida - TD Waterhouse Arena, April 15th, 2005

Got to our seats and My Chemical Romance came on playing Helena. Everyone seemed to really enjoy them. After playing their final song: I'm Not Okay the crowd was really fired up and ready for Green Day. When the set change was almost done, the infamous drunk pink bunny came out and chugged 2 beers and did the YMCA with the audience. Finally the 3 guys who we've been waiting to see for longer than 3 months came out: Green Day. They are definately much hotter in person. We were only about 100ft away from them. They started with American Idiot and Billie Joe had the audience doing the wave. During Hitchin' A Ride, Billie really got the crowd going by showing his ass to the sides of the arena and also pretending he was going to strip. He had us doing the "Hey Ho's" and he held out one for about 1 minute! How he managed to do it...who knows, because the audience had to take a breath after about 10 seconds! Later on they played an Operation Ivy song called Knowledge and Billie formed his own band with the drummer and bassist being guys and the guitarist a girl(lucky). The first bassist Billie picked couldn't play so Billie sent him off then he picked one who claims he'd been playing for 5 years. They did really good(Although I could've been a better guitarist haha) And Billie let the girl keep the guitar and the bassist did a stage dive. The drummer kind of snuck off the stage and Billie was lsaid, " Where the fuck did the drummer go?" Never did find him. But before the bassist left, he was like "I've only been playing bass for 6 weeks." Then Billie said "Well you need to play for 6 more!" hahaha. Then they played King for a Day and Billie came out with his crown. Then they played Shout and Billie and Mike were attempting to break dance...Billie Joe can sorta do the worm...wow. Later on Billie came out with super soakers and invited some kid to come up and help him. Then Green Day took a 30 second break and everyone started chanting "Green...Day!" They came back for their encore with We Are The Champions and had red and white confetti fly out. The whole concert had kick ass special effects like flames and awesome lighting. The last song they did was Good Riddance. Then unfortunately the concert was over. I left with a lost voice and sore muscles, but I take the pain with pride since it was definately worth it! I don't look at my posters and listen to songs the same anymore...
