I think the vegan diet may not be healthy, i mean your body needs a certan amount of fats and calories and if you just eat veggies all day you might become underwheight

What she's talking about is what they stand for and their rather unstable background, such as the fact that with all the money they spend advertising, they only have one animal shelter that euthanized 80% of the animals that were there.
On the other note, I've been vegan for the past four months, and I've never felt healthier. To be honest, I actually gained a couple pounds, but whether that was the running or not, I can't say. But misinformation vegan wise, all animals stop producing lactase after infancy, which is why many people experience lactose intolerence, even slightly. It's because consuming food that is made for initial growth beyond the stage of independence is strange evolutionary wise, and consuming another animal's "baby food" is even stranger. Am I against it? Only personally. I don't care if others do. But a vegan diet is perfectly healthy, that's all I can say. And don't forget that rice, egg free breads legumes and nuts and oils are perfectly fine for us too.

I'm a vegetarian. It wasn't really a tough transition for me because when I was really young I realized 'Oh my god... this chicken used to be alive..." slowly I just couldn't stand it anymore. I wasn't concerned about my health or anything when I quit. I just one day couldn't stand it anymore and that was it. I haven't had meat since I was 8.The hardest part is dealing with my family.. but I won't go into that right now.
Anyway, I think it's everyone's personal choice if they want to eat meat or not. I don't go around yelling at people who eat meat, nor do I try to get them to stop. I would so appreciate it if people would show me the same respect, but they'll always be people out there who see vegans/vegetarians as "weak" because they don't eat other animals but I never looked at it that way. You can't criticize someone until you've tried living in their shoes.

I hate it when people try to convert me to being a vegitarian.
It's like, I don't try to convert you to eating meat, so don't trying to convert me into not eating meat. I don't plan on ever being a vegitarian, but I have major respect for people who are. I also hate it when people assume just because you eat meat, you support animal abuse. 'Cause I'm 100% against that kind of stuff.

I've been a vegetarian since august, but I've loved animals my entire life. they're seriously #1 on my favorite things... but theres also other things that are #1.

there are some very judgemental people. I bet there's tons of vegans that hate anyone who isn't a vegan... someone said 'if you aren't vegan, don't fucking call yourself an animal lover'
makes no sense. I used to get really pissed at people that just sit there and eat meat and not give a shit. But I see where they're coming from. like I said, I love animals so much, but I've only started getting interested in how they're being slaughtered until this year. I don't know, I just never thought about it. it still kinda bugs me though, peole are just like, 'oh my god, how can you do that? I could NEVER be able to do that.' I take that more as a they dont care about animals thing, rather than a temptation thing, which is usually is. Hell, I love meat, it's so good, I look at it and I drool. But the fact that everyone here wears uggs just makes me so angry. survival and style are two totally different reasons to kill an animal.
I think I just might have some kosher free-range meat every now and then... i mean, I can only get that when I'm home anyways, and I don't go home much.
Who here is gonna have turkey for thanksgiving... if you even celebrate it. or what do you eat instead? I'm making sure my family gets a turkey that lived a nice life, and had a quick painless death... I'm gonna have some... I just love turkey, and the whole family is eating it anyways, there's plenty to go around, and it would be a shame to have a whole leg left in the fridge or given to my dogs.
