Billie said that he would be involved in the whole thing so that it didnt end up being total rubbish. in other words, he`ll probably end up being classed as producer or some such thing like that. the band will have a huge say in what goes in it and what doesnt. but I dont think Billie is writing the actual script or whatever. they are leaving that to professionals. |

Releasing American Idiot wasn't really a risk, I don't believe.
But this would definitely be taking a risk...
So I mean, maybe that's what Green Day wants?
It's just already so over done...I mean the story itself seems blown out
of proportion. Yes, we're all familiar with the character the Jesus of
Suburbia, and he lives inside many of us, but...what's the point of making
a movie? I mean really...I just don't understand. The album was enough.
Then the JOS video, okay...now a movie. That's just going overboard.
It's going to kill the whole essence of American Idiot. The reason the
album is so amazing is because it is MUSIC. It's instruments and voices
and words, bringing this story to life. Now to make a movie out of it, would
be ridiculous. I guess the story is easy bait for a movie, but I don't think
it's the right decision for Green Day to make.
What has that to do with "taking a risk" ?
Releasing AI was a risk - for them - they said so.
And actually .. everything's a risk in that media.
I think a movie would be awesome, if it's done well and stuff.
As long as its not directed by Samuel Bayer, I'm happy.

Hmm...I dunno. I don't think you'll have to worry, I heard he was ending his career after BIAB.
Bayer said he'd finish his career before years ago. And now he's back to do MCR. I think he's good for music videos but for a first-timer in movies.. he just might ruin the movie.
I look forward to this movie. I'd like to see how the storyline is really meant than how Wikipedia tries to explain it.
Bad, because GD haters can find another point to how the band is selling out. The critics might be a bit harsh too. It has concepts and themes comparable to other rock operas. |

I think you could get many differernt prospectives out the album and I think making a movie might just make it weird. But at the same time I would like to see what they would do with it, but I'm leaning more towards sticking with music then a movie. Plus, I'd rather see a new album then a movie to be honest. |

The movie would probably do horrible in theatres, and it's give people even more of a reason to call them sellouts.
