Why Don't You Believe?

I don't believe in God, and I don't want to. I am not religious in any way, and I don't want to be. Personally, the only times I've ever even been to church was when my grandma dragged me there. I have no intention of becoming religious either. Never have been, never will me. I'm just sticking to what I grew up with.

Well, what I'm gonna say is kinda off topic, but I remember that when I was reading Bible (that was VERY long ago, I don't remember much now) I've noticed sort of a story about a tribe which came to Jews (yes, that's the Old Testament) in order to ask them if they could be introduced to their religion because they wanted to pray to God more that anything else. Jews said no. And I think that was not fair. They really asked politely... And Jews had that attitude 'No, back up, that's our God and nobody's else'...

How do you know they asked in a polite tone?

The other thing that has made me hesatiant to believe in Christianinty is that I thought of all the wars that have been fought over who's religon was right and who's was wrong. And how many people died from it. I'm sure everyone hear has heard the song 'Imagine' by John Lennon. Well. That's my stand-point on life.

well i just don't think there is enough evidence to say there is a god but then i don't think there isn't enough to say there isn't
for me , i'm mainly against most religions

i believe in a god-just not the way that the catholics or christans present it. I belive that if their was a "greater being" that he wouldn't discriminate against certain types of people. Like Homosexuals or people who don't believe in thier god. I am not sure if i believe in Heaven and Hell. I believe in reincarnation and ghosts and i don't care if people love someone of the same sex or the opposite sex-its their life why should the catholic church and George Bush get to decide who they marry. So i guess i'm not a catholic like my family-i'm not sure what i am... gues i'm still figuring that out.

They aren't laws, per se, they are beliefs.
It isn't against the law to use a condom, it is simply against what catholics believe.

i go to church but there are times when i have my doubts about religion, but i do believe, ive learned that alot of things are against the bible, things that i do everyday that no one would expect to be against but i do believe

green day is my favorite band, they made me who i am today, but jesus of suburbia, bullet in a bible, and st jimmy does not affend me at all is it does offend someone then they need to get over it

Believe in what you want I say. If people ask you about your belief, tell them, but don't go around trying to convert everybody.

As the topic is "Why Don't You Believe?" I would have to say that I do believe, just not in a Christian God (or any "God" really). I'm part of a very small religion, and I really can't be arsed to explain it now lol, especially as I'll get a load of prejudiced statements against me.

I was lucky enough to have my marriage blessed in the Mormon Temple in London and now i cant believe anymore.

But yes, I meant beliefs.

I dont believe in God because I base my life around proof. Well, you know what I mean.

Omg today in RE we were talking about how God split people into 2 groups. The one on the right he said were sheep and the one on the left were goats. He said the sheep would go to heaven cause they helped people etc. THAT is why I don't believe in Christianity! Who the hell wants to be a sheep? I was just like "So God wants everyone to follow him blindly?

I don't. But what many of you are saying is that there's no proof to prove God, yet can you prove people actually come back as other people?
