I'm not religious. As far as I'm concerned, religion is a total load of crap. It's run by close minded freaks that dont fit in anywhere else who are all total hippocrites. It's not open to any new ideas, and I've already accepted that I'm going to Hell, and the world's gonna have to deal with it. As for questions... how about..
1. If 'god' loves everyone, why doesnt he love gays or other races?
I however find ancient religions kinda facinating...(ie..the Egyptian Gods, and the Greeks and Romans..)
That is so ignorant. As far as what i just read it sounds like you're all religions on the flaws of Christianity. There are a lot more religions.

I'm not religious. It's as plain as that. But I can stand some people who are, because some religious people learn to accept what I believe. However, I don't like it when religious people openly preach. Like in my school. When I was in year 8, after an assembly, we were handed copies of the New Testament. This is a government school I'm talking about. I find it aggrivating when people shove religion down your throat, just assuming that everyone is Christian because it's what they believe.

I didn't mean to lose it, but now I know this Mormon girl and I want to understand her religion more (even though I could probably get it over the internet

because when i say this i am only speaking for myself, my mum inlaw and father in law were staunch Mormons and one day meyself and my husband wanted our marriage blessed in the Mormon chapel in London, and i was told that i could only be blessed if i stopped reading the books that i did and writing about the things that i do, i was told that my son had ADHD because I didnt have enough faith in god and that my oldest son was OCD because he didnt pray enough so i walked away from thw church and also many branches of the church in this country have little clicks people with money and people without money, also the bishop was talking about being faithfull in a speach one day and we all found out that he was sleeping with the cleaner of the chapel, that is why i stopped going to church.

i still TRY and live my life in a way that is fitting but i do it for me and nobody else

I don't believe. It's possible but I just don't want to believe. If I go to hell or get a crappy afterlife in whatever way.. then I deserve it. If not.. no harm done then.

I don't believe at all because I have no proof. You can't believe everything just because someone says it's true. My mom says "Believe none of what you hear and half of what you see" well I've never seen God, just heard and read about him. And I agree with what the person who started this topic said:

1.] How can you trust the bible if it's written by man who are sinners?
2.] Christians are told they have free will. 'Do what I say or die and burn in hell.' That doesn't sound like free will to me.
3.] If Christians are supposed to love eachother as thy selves or whatever. How come they always discriminate other religions and homosexuals? That's not very loving.

Plus, we're told to forgive each other. What if someone nearly killed you? Do you say "Oh I forgive you" then they do it again. If you forgive them, they're gonna take advantage of that and really kill you. Honestly! And whoever said that you will go to hell or heaven is bullshitting you. How do they know? Did they ever die? No!

GAHHHHHH that's why I don't believe.

1) The Bible is a guide. A way to live, to be a decent human. Humans wrote it, yes. But how do you identify with the divine, the unsinning, the pure, the perfect, the almighty powers that be? It's much easier to understand someone who would know firsthand.
2) You have a choice. Do what you want. Go ahead. No one's making you do anything. You have an option. There are consequences, that's all.
3) Don't generalize. That's only true of some people. Christians and non-Christians discriminate, right now you discriminate against Christians. I've met a good number of kind, loving, caring Christians, and read of hundreds more. I've also met and read of many who aren't.

Christianity is based on forgiveness because forgiving people makes you happy. It will. It means letting go of all the things people have done to wrong you. Letting go of the hurt and the pain. It will happen again, sure. You forgive again. But there is a line between forgiving and letting people walk out of your life, it's always best to forgive before you let them go, though.

this is useless because I know you won't want to listen, but here it goes

1. The Bible is God written
yes, the person who first typed it up was a sinner, but I'm positive he didn't make any alterations
2. We have free will. If we sin we are forgiven. You only burn in hell when you refuse forgiveness.
3. The way Christians act should not reflect why you do or don't believe in the Bible. The Bible doesn't tell them to be homophobic assholes, they just are. The Bible doesn't even say homosexuality is wrong, just homosexual sex.

I know you won't listen to this, just by your argument I can tell you're just trying to prove Christianity wrong and ludacris, but your mistake was you used a crappy argument everyone's heard a million times before.

i am unsure if god does or doesn't exsist
i don't feel thee is enough proof to say there is a god but then i don't think there is enough proof to say ther eisn't

but when i really really really think about it , people (atleast my family) see heaven as some place in the sky ... and when i look up nad really really really think about it doesn't seem possible to me (yeah i know if its true we are 'spirits i guess thee for the whole sky thing wouldn't matter but still')

Yep. God is supposed to live in heaven but if you've traveled by a plane, you've been above the clouds and ZOMG there's no God on the clouds.
