Spastic Society (o.g):
Songs of Praise
Sound of Music - The Adicts
Shock Troops - Cock SParrer
Any Dead Kennedys album
Damaged - Black Flag

There's more but ... yeah.

Green Day isn't punk. They aren't pop/punk. Green Day looms far away from the word punk. They are alternative. Or rock. Or whatever. I never listen to them anymore.

why? becuase they're not punk? that's stupid. i mean, i rarely listen to them anymore either, but not because they're not punk.

but anyway, essential punk albums:

Another one that you should all check out is Hidden World by Fucked Up. Sheer class from start to finish and definitely up there with the greats in terms of quality (not so much influence though).

Click HERE for my own review of it.
