But yea, be glad he can count to 4 agressive or not. Lol if he couldn't then he'd be an even more blessed drummer...not knowing how to count to 4 in all. XD
i need lyric translations. i was going to use "she" in a music memoir i have to write, but to get the most out of the song so i could better relate to it, I wanted to better understand the lyrics that were confusing me:
"smash the silence with a brick of self control"
anybody?
I think 'She' is about a girl who's basically letting her life be lived by others around her. Like those people decide for her what to do with her life (Are you locked up in a world / That's been planned out for you? / Are you feeling like a social tool without a use?) and she can't speak out what is really on her mind, what her opinion is or make decisions for herself. And when she does try to stand up for herself nobody hears. So 'smashing the silence' to me would be breaking the non-responsive 'vibe' coming from the others, and the 'brick of self control' is her speaking her mind, having gained enough confidence to have total control over herself and really stand up as tough as a brick.
hope that made sense..
that makes TONS of sense! it's too bad i already turned in my memoir. i coulda really used that!
I've seen people (eg Coldplay) who wear little earphones when their preforming. I've never seen Billie using them. Is there any reason why?

Yeah, have you ever listened to an audio of a Green Day concert and inbetween every song he's like "Huh? What's that?" he likes to be able to have actual conversations with people in the audience, apparently XD

I wonder how bad their ears would actually get.. I mean, of course it's not the most healthy thing to do for your ears, but when performing you actually stand behind most of the speakers so you probably wouldn't get as much of a soundwall coming towards you as when you're part of the crowd
2) Do they use one of the them things that tell you the words to a song ? 'Cause in the Simpsons Movie they were and...

1. Longview
2. The Simpsons Movie really is just an exdented episode of a cartoon that basically revolves around making statements by trying to make fun of as many people as possible, using a lot of self-mockery and sarcastic humor.. Seriously, it's not as if Green Day died too even though they did in the movie
so no they don;t use them monitors, they write all of their lyrics themselves, surely they would know what the words are.

LOL. Also Billie Joe forgets them a lot of the time. Especially when he's had a beer or two, but hey! Its part of their charm!
