Chicklet! I can't believe I missed this before, and I'm glad you shared. That is how Tre is meant to walk around...in his underwear Wink

if only. Roxanne

So has anyone else seen Franz Ferdinand? They're supporting them at the Houston show.
I'm iffy about that.

I only they had that one song that was really popular several years back. It was pretty catchy. I just remember the music vid was all funky and had them with all these mechanical things and I think their heads were falling off and they were stick figures and all and something to do with pale yellow. Yeah... that's all I know about them.

LIZ. You went to the Cubs game in Chicago?! Was it the same game as this?!:

I'm pretty sure it wasn't really, because I think if it was you'd have sent me a pm full of excitement.

Also, I have just seen that picture of Tre conducting the band and what I love most about it is that is seems he has an extra stool for his drink. Love it!

No, we went to see the fecking Chicago White Sox because my husband is a giant ass and has a specific preference for which Chicago team he likes more even though he has no connection to the city of Chicago at all. Imagine how pleased I was when I heard Tre threw the first pitch, in his concert!Tre outfit, and Billie sang "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" when we were on the other side of Chicago sitting next to a man that had such strong hotdog burps I could have spread mustard on them. Yes, very pleased.

He did have a drink stool! I have several photos of Tre drinking/smiling throughout the concert. Bless his blonde heart.

I'm not a big fan of the Bravery but they weren't too bad...they did keep having technical difficulties of some sort, haha, it sounded like the drums were blowing up. But they definitely endeared themselves to me by playing "Who Wrote Holden Caulfield".

They covered that? That's cool! I have nothing particularly against The Bravery, and I had heard that they're quite good live.

I love your avatar by the way, Annie. Party on Garth!

Yeah, it was awesome, it was a whole lot easier to sit through them than it was to endure My Chemical Romance four years ago Rolling Eyes

hahah, thanks. Party on Wayne!

Elana, that was a pretty epic post, hahah. Tre is indeed a beacon of hope and light and awesome things like that. Cool I wish we'd had the Kaiser Chiefs, I saw them open for the Foos and Weezer in 2005 and I quite liked them. They put on a good show, and that was when they were still relative n00bs so hopefully they're still good.

hahaha FP, I love your gig stories. Mine mostly consist of "I had a really good view until the tallest man alive parked himself in front of me." Because I am 5'2" and not getting any taller. Damn midget parents.

Ohhh, that's why he dedicated that song to Tre then. I had gotten up to get a(nother) beer and a t-shirt because I was anxious and couldn't sit still anymore and sat back down just as they were finishing that song. I wasn't even paying attention to what they were singing but that makes sense now.

Haha, I had forgotten all the explosions during their set. I jumped a mile off my seat a couple times.

Me and Midget Maroo were discussing yesteday that Tre's hair looks like a beacon.. I say a beacon of life and hope for all the beautiful geeks and dorks in the world. Because geeks and dorks are awesome.

He is like a beacon. I couldn't stop staring at the side of his head--as that's all I could see most of the time--and the patches of blonde hair that were visible from under his hat. I was tempted to ask to see his hair...amongst other things...but I couldn't get close enough to ask him anything/grope him properly. Kind of sad, really, haha.

Annie, you need to get yourself some badditude. You shouldn't pay an excessive amount for a gig ticket just to have some inconsiderate bonehead park himself in front of you so you can't see shit. Especially if they do it in a rude way. Then you really have reason to go to town with sarcasm and rudeness.

Schoooooooooooooools out for summeeeeeer!!

Oh yes, it is. I don't even care that it is like the depths of winter here today, or that I accidentaly cried in front of my kids this morning.

Aaaaand now I'm off on an impromptu drive to France (like you do) for a whole weekend of not being a positive adult role model.

BON VENDREDI MON AMIS!

JE SUIS TRE EXCITED POUR LES VACATIONS!

(Don't worry, I'm taking a phrase book to read on the Eurostar.)

Oh, I just had to respond to this post because it made me seriously laugh out loud. How completely nonsensical are men sometimes. I hope you gave Eli a strong talking to, because Billie Joe looked seriously adorable in his Cubs jersey. Wink

I didn't speak to him for about two hours when I heard the guys were over at the Cubs game, and yes, Billie looked all kinds of cute in his jersey!

Have fun in France, Ellie May! You deserve a weekend of obscene fun after keeping all those children in line. Go be unmoral for awhile Wink

P.S. My eyes were immediately drawn to the "tre" amongst all your French words. I have a sickness.

Loz, did I read somewhere that you're going to see/have seen The All-American Rejects recently? Because Tyson Ritter might honestly be one of the hottest guys I have ever seen in my life...and they're kind of amazing live Wink

The blonde woman on Billie's right -- our left -- looks like Tre. His mom or sister maybe?

Yeah, I've seen them every time they've come to London this year. *not a stalker*.

Tyson put me and my friend on the guestlist for a TV show they performed at, thus he is the love of my life. Hahahaha.

I can't walk past a Hugo Boss without going mmmmmmmmm yummy.

And actually, I had the same reaction when I looked at that picture where Billie's wearing his little grey hat. How sweet!

Billie's got an apparent obsession for beanies. Tis so cute. Reminds me of all the kids at my school who wear them in -184579843 degree weather.

Um I just saw this picture and nearly died...

I'm off to our cottage for the weekend with a partially beat-up husband. Good times.

Loz, Tyson put you on a list?? Did you offer to live in his shirt? Wink

Blimey, Tre's looking jaunty. LOVE IT.

Unfortunately there was no opportunity to offer such a service, but I got to watch him from the VIP bar which was jolly nice. Kind of made me want to just jump on him, but I thought both of us would completely break if I did, seeing as I was a few floors up.
