He's right, though. It's the same chord sequence just half a tone down. Radiohead pay a section of their royalties for Creep to someone else because they ripped them off... whether the song was meant to sound like something else or not. If Gallagher feels that his own work is being copied, then he has every right to complain. If you wrote a great song and then 9 years later someone came along with an almost identical piece, I'm sure you'd get pissed off too.
Also, for the person that said Green Day overshadow Oasis, please please PLEASE get your damn facts right.
