Cecilia Had A Life Before GSB ![]() Age: 39 Gender: Female Posts: 26847 | druscilla; in rags: That means there's a problem with the parents if kids are scared of talking to them. If you've been used to talk to your parents about specifical topics, then you find normal to talk about sex with them. If you've never been used to talk to your parents, then it's just normal that you don't dare talking to them when needed. |

Brendon Urie.. King For A Couple Of Days ![]() Age: 37 Gender: Female Posts: 2394 ![]() | Cecilia: False. I am completely at ease talking to my mother but if I were straight and needed the morning after pill I wouldn't want to confess to her that I made a mistake. It's not just about feeling uncomfortable with your parents, it's about feeling guilty about letting them down. |
Brendon Urie.. King For A Couple Of Days ![]() Age: 37 Gender: Female Posts: 2394 ![]() | Cecilia: You want your kid to come to you if they want to have sex. If they don't you don't feel they deserve the morning after pill. Therefore, hi Grandma. |
Cecilia Had A Life Before GSB ![]() Age: 39 Gender: Female Posts: 26847 | druscilla; in rags: I didn't say I want my kids to come to me to talk about sex, I just say I don't wanna force them like "ok, let's talk about sex now. You see that banana..." If they wanna talk to me, they can. That's, first, parents' work to make their kids comfortable towards that kind of topics which aren't easy to talk about. Not children. It's just about education. No, I wouldn't think they don't deserve the morning after pill. I'd understand that it's not easy for them to talk about it, it's normal. But I wouldn't deprive them of the morning after pill. "You had unsafe sex? ok, have fun with your pregnancy now". That's not ok. What kind of parents would do that?! Anyway, I don't know if they should deliver the morning after pill in the pharmacies, before the age of 18. There are some centers called "family plannings" where doctors and specialists deliver that for free, for any age. I just think that it's first parents' and teachers' works to talk about sexual relationships in general. Because it's easy to say "you've made a mistake" but harder to do everything so you don't do it. |
Brendon Urie.. King For A Couple Of Days ![]() Age: 37 Gender: Female Posts: 2394 ![]() | And what if you're in an area where there isn't a family planning center? What if you're under 16 and don't have a car to get there? What if you have no other choice but the pharmacy? Tough shit? |
Cecilia Had A Life Before GSB ![]() Age: 39 Gender: Female Posts: 26847 | druscilla; in rags: If you have no other choice than pharmacy, then tell your parents about it. And if you still "don't want to", then it's time to make choices. |
Brendon Urie.. King For A Couple Of Days ![]() Age: 37 Gender: Female Posts: 2394 ![]() | Cecilia: What choices? The government is wrong. There shouldn't have to be any other choice. They should sell this pill to whoever needs it. It's the same as refusing to sell condoms to a minor. |
Cecilia Had A Life Before GSB ![]() Age: 39 Gender: Female Posts: 26847 | druscilla; in rags: I've never said that it's good you can't buy it if you're not under 18. But for the moment, there are no other solutions. |
rollerpig GSBitch ![]() Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 62283 | druscilla; in rags: Talking to an adult that you're close to?! If not your parents, someone else... And I'd rather be embarrased for a second than ending up with an unwanted pregnancy.. [That's not the perfect solution I know I just meant you always have some choice] |

Hitchcock Starlet Addict ![]() Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 12622 | I don't think 13 year old girls should even have sex. It's ok if their parents talk to them about it but still....a bit young age for that. Now when you mentioned it...I have a friend who got pregnant with her 20 year old boyfriend. She's 15. I noticed how a lot of people these days start having sex in early age. I read somewhere that most of them start at the age of 16 or 17. Nothing wrong with that,I just think 13 is too young for it. |
Brendon Urie.. King For A Couple Of Days ![]() Age: 37 Gender: Female Posts: 2394 ![]() | Make You Smile.: I don't know how it works in the rest of the country, but in the Midwest the mentality is pretty much the same. If you opened your legs for sex, you can open them again to have the baby. Basically any adult you talk to in the small, conservative towns of the Midwest will agree that if you screwed around you ought to have the child. Why do you think there's only one abortion clinic in the Midwest. Why is Nebraska the state that produces over 50% of the entire country's unplanned pregnancies? Because people here don't believe you should have a choice. If you open your legs, you keep them open. That's how people here think. |
Cecilia Had A Life Before GSB ![]() Age: 39 Gender: Female Posts: 26847 | Cereal Killer: Well, kids want to be (or rather "look" ) older, very young. But whatever, yea 13 may sound too young to have sex, but some girls are enough mature in their head to have sex at that age.. |
Biffy Clyro Basket Case ![]() Age: 34 Gender: Male Posts: 16018 | druscilla; in rags: That is quite possibly the stupidest thing I have read all day. You yourself insist that these young girls should have the choice of whether to take the morning-after pill, but fail to notice that it was their choice to have sex in the first place. It's not like their parents threw them into bed with a male and no contraception at gunpoint now is it. I belive the point you are trying (and failing, may I add) to make is that they are forced to keep the child or unborn child, whichever view you take on it. Some might say that they should have to keep the child to teach them and others they know a lesson, and while I do not agree with this it is an interesting point to make. If the child (that's what they still are, really) doesn't want the baby this much they should be brave enough to tell their parents about it and own up to their mistakes. |

Brendon Urie.. King For A Couple Of Days ![]() Age: 37 Gender: Female Posts: 2394 ![]() | People keep saying making this pill available for younger girls will make them want to have sex more. They don't consider the obvious: If they weren't having sex we wouldn't need to have this discussion. |
Cecilia Had A Life Before GSB ![]() Age: 39 Gender: Female Posts: 26847 | Fall Out Mhairi: What's better? Shame or pregnancy? Showing your mum you start having sex even though you made a mistake or being parent at the age of 16 and taking on the consequence of the 'mistake'? |
Hitchcock Starlet Addict ![]() Age: 33 Gender: Female Posts: 12622 | Cecilia: True. I just hope they are aware of the risk they're taking. I dont think any of them wants to get pregnant at that age or something. |
