I wanted to start a ska cult one time, but only Michelle thought it was a good idea and no one else wanted to join. ;_; No one else gets my sense of humor. ;_;

I dunno if I want to start another rant on Christianity right now...with my luck, Nick will start raving about how I'm using a biased history source again.

it's not christianity that im against. my whole family is christian, remember? i disagree with christianity a great deal, but that's on a personal level.
what i disagree with most is the idea that we went from a war on afghanistan (that looks like a typo no matter how it's spelled...Rolling Eyes) and the people "behind the terrorism of 9/11" to a war on terror in general (but those damn adjectives are SNEAKY bastards, and we couldn't eliminate it) to a war on Islamic Fundamentalist Terrorism. What are we but White Christian Fundamentalists anyway? according to a Muslim friend, the people we're fighting aren't even technically Muslim to the rest of the Islamic community because they break 90% of the "fundamental" rules of Islam.
The hypocracy of both parties is what bothers me most. It's one of the major evils of organized religion.

Why does christianity always have to become a scapegoat, i can't deny that religion can be a source of disruption in he world, but it's not always christianity and when it is christianity you can't describe it as that because there are many differents sects of christianity. Your bunching a group of people together because of their belief structure, yet that is the very thing you are accusing christians of doing to Islams/muslims.

shame on me for only posting a third of my argument. and now i can't remember the rest. Rolling Eyes
im not trying to use christianity as a scapegoat, even though it probably sounded that way. but watching CNN the other day, i literally heard the phrase "...war on islamic fundamentalist terrorism" and i thought as if other terrorism is okay? why so specific? it really is a matter of perspective. from the middle eastern side of the whole conflict, the general white christian community is the enemy. it's mindless labeling, but we make those groupings all the time because its easier than pointing out individuals.
relgion has caused a lot of conflict and i recognize that its not just one or two religions but ALL of them. christianity was just the target of that last post because of what dirtyhippie said.

I hate CNN and FOX it's like watching a pixie parade, everything is done with a smile and a wink.

''...war on islamic fundamentalist terrorism'' it's because of that sort of subjected labeling that makes hate crimes happen, the media inch by inch work on your brain until that type of stereotyping becomes justified and people don't pick up on it.

Personally i can see the positive side of losing all religious denominations (if i spelled that correctly i want a medal), but i also feel that religion plays a part in making us individuals, yes your open to being typecasted but if everybody followed the same god in the same type of worship, we would become drones.

if i HAD a medal, i'd give it to you. especially if it had something about good spelling engraved on it.
aside from that im just going to say i mostly agree because i'm quite certain that i'm no longer making any sense whatsoever.

I mean considered bad in the general view. If it doesn't fit into general society, it will automatically be classed as bad

society is fucked up. weve all come to accept that fact. society defines a cult as evil, wicca is "cultist" and therefore evil. but the most important part of wicca is "harm none" so how can that be evil? i know a number of wiccans. only one of them is evil, and it has nothing to do with religion, hes just generally an asshole. a lot of other obscure religions arent evil. dirtyhippie is absolutely right, good and evil, theyre realtive. what society says doesnt matter. truth is relative.

Exactly!
The main rule of Wicca is "An' ye harm none do what ye will".
How can anyone think that the Craft is evil? It's one of the most gentle, loving religions around. Whenever I tell anyone who's like a really xCore Christian that I'm a Wiccan they're just like "BLAAAH" and have a big go at me. I mean, I don't disrespect their religion, but they see nothing wrong with completly slating mine. Mad

I'm Wiccan too. And what most Christians don't know is that Wicca has ties with Christianity. Most of my grade are christians or catholic and they think that i am in some satan worshipping cult.......it got so bad that they put an up-side-down cross on my locker. It made me cry that someone would do something as mean and crazy as that.

Well...those people aint Christians if they do that...I'm a Christians..and I have a Freind who's a Wiccan and one that's a Modern Satanist and I have NO problem with that at all.
the only Cult-thing I dont really like is JW becuse I had a "freind" that was one and he said that the only reson why were freinds was so that he could convert me and since I was not getting converted out freindship had no meaning..and he aways put my faith down...I know not all JW's are like that but..it really pissed me off.

There is a rumor going around that my church, Xenos Christian Fellowship, is a cult, which is not true at all. I wish all of the lies would just flippin stop. Xenos is an amazing church. It's the one place to go to where I feel I can get true support from my friends.
