Billie Joe - a part of Emily's Army
Billie Joe is now a part of Emily's Army, a family based group working to fund a cure for CF a life-threatening genetic disease affecting approximately 30,000 people in the United States. Although it's unknown how long exactly Billie Joe has been a supporter of it, but he is now listed under the Supporters portion of the site.
Also under the supporters page is one of The Becker Family, which are friends of the family involved in creating Emily's Army. The Becker Family have donated many things, including Green Day tickets in Australia to the cause. It is wondered if it's the same Becker Family that went to the Kid's Choice Awards with Billie Joe and his family on April 1, 2006.

I have a friend with CF, and I'm glad Billie Joe and Green Day are doing their part once again to help their community. Between NRDC, Music Rising, Live 8 and now this...I am really excited for them. They aren't just a successful band....they are great, extraordinary people as well. I can't wait to see what they do next!
