wow, i never expect them to be on american idol, well... i haven't seen the performance on TV, i guess it'll be airing in about 3 weeks or 2 weeks.... yesterday i saw "lakisha" going home, and then they were 3.... i'll see the finale.

Billie's smile at the end was sweet, but it kinda looked like a pity smile. I loved their performance.

i taped this performence! I was SOOOO suprized when i heard Brian say "Plaese welcome, Green Day" i did not care wat video tape was in my VCR. I just taped it. :D man i wanted them to wear their "American Idiot Era" clothing

I honestly hated this performance. I mean, they sounded great- they always do- but they didn't have their usual energy, spark, or passion behind it. It probably had to do with the fact that they weren't playing to ANYONE because Fox wouldn't let them play live though.

And as far as the smile- I don't really think it's cute, so much as sad. To me, it looks like a "Well, this sucks. We didn't even get to play to anyone." smile. Like he's trying to make the best of it, but he's still upset.

I hate American Idiol but if I would have known that Green Day was going to be there, I would have watched it. I don't really like that song either, but still!!! I'm surprised they agreed to go on. American Idiol seems like something they would refuse to go on. Tre looks so good!
