OH NOES!! OH NOES!! you did NOT say that platypis aren't mammals!! yes, they are monetremes. but monotremes are a subset of mammals, often believed to be an early evolutionary form of modern mammals. echidnas are the only other species of monotreme presently not dead. they have fur/hair on their bodies, and they nurse their young with milk produced in the mammary glands. that makes them a mammal. =p
BUT! they are freaky. the males have poisonous feet, they lay eggs, and they do not have nipples. they ooze milk from their pores and the little puggles lap it up. B] i like platypis. freaky little mammals, they are.
